Not seeing an end is more draining than you might think
I have been feeling unwell for about a week now.
As the days go by where I cannot move as I would like, I find myself spending more time wondering, "When will I get better?"
In the midst of this ongoing, endless feeling of being unwell, I have realized something.
It is that not seeing an end is more mentally exhausting than one might think.
Whether it is work, studies, or personal worries.
"One more week"
"Three more days"
If you know where the finish line is, you can strangely find the strength to keep going.
But when you cannot see the end, the anxiety of "how long will this last?" grows little by little.
That is why, lately, I have stopped looking only at the distant goal.
"Get through today."
That is my only goal.
I acknowledge one thing I was able to do today and end the day.
Perhaps when you cannot see the end, what is important is not to keep worrying about the future, but to stack up today.
Thank you for reading this far.
May your day be a wonderful one.
