The story of how I wasn't shocked when my daily posting streak of over 250 days ended
One day, my note posts suddenly stopped.
I thought I had posted it, but it remained in my drafts.
It was completely my own careless mistake.
I fell asleep with my child, and when I realized it, the date had already changed.
Without me noticing, my consecutive posting record had been reset.
I had been posting on note every day for over 250 days.
When I found out that the streak had ended, I felt a little disappointed.
"I had been posting consecutively for so long, and now it's reset. That's a bit of a shame."
But the shock was smaller than I had expected.
I opened note again right away and posted.
"What was I writing for again?"
At that moment, I suddenly wondered, "What was I writing every day for in the first place?"
There is something I wrote when I first started note.
The reason I started note was because I wanted to improve my writing skills.
"To keep posting every day" was not written anywhere.
When I realized that, I felt a sense of relief.
It might be dangerous if continuing becomes the goal
On note, when you post, it shows your "consecutive posting days," doesn't it?
When I see that, I naturally want to extend the record.
But if posting every day becomes the goal, it might be a little dangerous.
Because if it stops for some reason,
I might think, "It's all over."
What matters is "what you are writing for"
What matters is what you are writing for.
If you have a purpose, you can start again even if your consecutive updates stop.
For me, note is a place to organize my thoughts.
Writing is like brushing my teeth for me.
There are days when I feel restless if I don't write.
That is why I want to keep writing even if my consecutive updates stop.
To those who find daily posting difficult
When posting every day becomes a burden, it might be good to stop for a moment and
try to remember, "What was I writing for again?"
Thank you for reading this far.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
