I made a summary antenna for note

▶ yukimanju (note summary antenna):https://yukimanju.com/

So many great articles are created every day, yet they are hard to see all at once

When reading note, I feel that a truly vast number of articles are created every day. Carefully written personal experiences, explanations that break down specialized knowledge, and essays that gently push someone forward. I believe the depth of the writers is note's greatest appeal.

However, as a reader, I sometimes pause and think: "What kind of articles are being read right now?" or "Where are the good articles I don't know about yet that align with my interests?"

There are surprisingly few ways to get a cross-sectional view of the answer. Before I know it, I'm just following the new posts of the creators I always watch. At first, I thought, "I must just be bad at searching," and I tried changing how I search several times. Even so, I couldn't reach a list that allowed me to view all of note from a reader's perspective.

If that's the case, I'll make it myself—that's what I thought when I started working on this site.

Nice to meet you, I'm Yukimanju

Nice to meet you. My name is Yukimanju. I'm an individual who loves making things; whenever I think of something that might be useful for daily life or work, I just want to try making it myself. On this account, I plan to write about the things I've made and tried, one by one.

As the first installment, I'd like to introduce the site I'm currently growing, called yukimanju.com. It's a personally created site that gathers information published on note so that it can be viewed across genres and topics. Think of it as a "summary antenna" for note.

What you can do with yukimanju

The main features right now are all gateways to "finding the next article to read."

■ Articles being read now

I've compiled a list of articles published on note that have recently gathered many "likes" (suki). You can sort them by periods like "last 7 days" or "last 30 days," or by categories like "overall," "trending," "this week," or "this month," so you can answer the question "What kind of articles are being read right now?" right at the entrance. Even if you can't think of a search term, you can pick out articles that interest you from the list.

■ Topic-based articles

I've summarized articles being read now by genres such as "lifestyle," "technology," and "entertainment." "I want to read an essay I can take my time with today," or "I want to see trending tech articles"—you can choose your gateway to articles based on your mood or purpose at the time.

■ Editorial picks

These are lists I've compiled by selecting articles based on themes that readers might be interested in, such as "Articles to read before starting a side hustle." It's like a handmade map for when you're not sure what to read first. There aren't many yet, but I will gradually increase them.

■ Following writers from articles you enjoyed reading

If you read an article and think, "I like this person's writing," I've made it possible to follow other articles by the same writer. I've compiled the activities published on note for each creator as far as I could observe, so it serves as a gateway to the next article—not the next book, but the next piece of writing you'll read from this person.

In addition to this, I've made it possible to switch to zones for areas with dense themes. The first one I created was the "AI" zone, and the honest reason is that it's the theme I'm most interested in myself. I'd like to eventually divide genres that are frequently read on note, like horse racing, into dedicated zones. Currently, you can view "Main" and "AI," and others like "Gambling" are being prepared sequentially. If you have any requests like "I'd be happy if there were a zone for this genre," please let me know in the comments. It will be the best hint for what kind of zone to create next.

Also, you can add articles that catch your eye to a "Read Later" list on the spot, and we have also provided an archive where you can look back at past rankings by month.

I created this with the hope that it will serve as a "gateway to finding your next article to read" for everyone.

Why a tool for "looking across the board"?

The note page is basically designed with the "individual" as the entry point. There are individual creator pages and individual article pages. You can follow the updates of people you follow, and recommendations will also appear. That design, which treats each individual writer with care, is very pleasant.

However, the perspective of "looking across the entirety of note, including areas you don't follow yet" is a slightly different angle from that design. yukimanju is a site that aims to add that one different angle.

By adding one more gateway to "look across the board," encounters with good articles will increase just a little, and writers will reach that many more readers. The motivation for creating this site is to be useful for that small cycle.

Please try opening it at times like these

Here are a few specific ways to use it.

When you want to know what articles are being read right now:Try looking at the top rankings while changing the period and perspective. Even if you can't think of a search word, you can pick them up from the list.

When you want to find popular articles in a specific genre:You can see articles that are being read right now by genre from the topic-based articles.

When you want to know more about the writer of an article you enjoyed:From an article you like, you can follow the writer's other articles and continue reading.

When you haven't decided what to read:Editorial picks are summaries based on interests, so they are suitable as a gateway when your purpose isn't fixed.

If you have a vague idea of what you want to read but don't know where it is, then opening this site first makes the effort of creating it worthwhile.

Rules I've set because I'm making this as an individual

Because it is an unofficial personal site, there are several rules I have imposed on myself. I want to be honest about this here.

・yukimanju is an unofficial personal site that has no relation to note official. It is not operated or supervised by note, Inc. "note" is a trademark of note, Inc.

・What is posted is information displayed on each page of note (article titles, number of likes, number of followers, etc.). I do not handle member-only or private information. I try to be careful to acquire data at a modest pace so as not to put a burden on the server.

・All links posted on yukimanju point to the actual article pages and creator pages on note. I do not make users read articles within yukimanju. Reading happens within the usual note. yukimanju is strictly a "gateway."

・If a creator who is listed requests that they "do not want to be listed," I will accept it through a dedicated form provided on the site and respond as quickly as possible (usually within a few days). There is no cost.

・I value presenting observable facts (number of published articles, number of likes, etc.) as they are, rather than speculation or provocation.

There is no point if a tool becomes a nuisance to someone. Therefore, I will proceed with this carefully.

Moving forward

yukimanju is still in the process of being developed, and there are many areas that are lacking. There are also many things I want to improve in the future.

・Enhance editorial picks while increasing the number of themes

・Increase ways to find articles (such as by time period or genre) to make it easier to choose an entry point that suits your purpose

・Make the path to follow "writers you enjoyed reading" more natural

I would be very happy to receive feedback such as "It would be easier to search if there were this kind of approach" or "This display is hard to understand." I will also write about what I thought while building it on this account.

Finally, a few honest points

・The current yukimanju does not cover all writers and articles on note. I am in the process of gradually expanding from the range I have been able to observe, so the lineup in the list will continue to change. I would appreciate it if you could view it with the understanding that it is still a work in progress.

・The displayed numbers (such as the number of likes) are snapshots at the time they were retrieved. There may be differences from the current display on note itself.

To make it just a little easier to encounter interesting articles on note. I will continue to develop it little by little so that it can become such a tool. Please take a look if you like.
