How exercise was surprisingly effective for 〇〇
To those of you who know exercise is good but can't quite get motivated, wondering what kind of effects it actually has.
I, who usually don't exercise, recently went mountain climbing and experienced such incredible effects that I wanted to share them.
What are the surprising effects of exercise!?
It is, quite simply, the 'amplification of happiness'.
I would like to scientifically explain the state of being during exercise from the perspective of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
During exercise,
① You are sharpening your awareness of your own senses.
⇒ You are constantly feeling your breathing, muscles, and how you use your body, unconsciously making fine adjustments for the perfect movement.
② You are stopping internal dialogue (thinking).
⇒ You are not focusing on worries.
③ You are using your peripheral vision.
⇒ You are taking a bird's-eye view and grasping the whole.
A state where creativity is at work.
Exercise allows these states ① to ③, in other words, the uptime (here and now) state, to continue for a long time.
This can be said to be a well-prepared state where high performance can be demonstrated, and it is a state that rarely occurs in daily life unless you are trained.
I was honestly astonished to realize that this can be mastered so easily by exercising 😳✨ (shows how little I've exercised in my daily life lol)
It is known that during exercise, beta-endorphins, which are brain chemicals that bring about a sense of euphoria and happiness, increase,
and after exercise, alpha waves, which have a relaxation effect, become dominant.
You have heard of the state called runner's high, right?
I also felt that I was filled with a light, airy sense of euphoria and happiness for two full days starting from the middle of my mountain climb ☺️💗
The point is exercise intensity.
Not too hard, not too easy. It's good to have enough leeway where you are out of breath but can still calmly feel your own senses and make fine adjustments.
Furthermore, doing it with someone else is recommended. Doing it alone, especially with a familiar routine, makes it easy to fall into internal dialogue, so you need to be creative.
While chatting aimlessly with someone, let's direct our consciousness outward toward the scenery and our own senses.
[Summary]
Exercise surprisingly increases 'happiness',
and was effective for mental health 😊
This 'happiness' seems like it could become addictive
