Running out of ideas for note posts? A story about feeling like I had nothing left to write after achieving my goal
A little while ago, I passed the Bookkeeping Level 3 exam.
While I was studying, the content I was learning and the struggles I faced became perfect material for note posts, so I was able to post quite easily.
However, the moment I actually passed, I felt like there was a hole in my heart, and I thought, 'Wait, maybe I have nothing left to write about?'
I realized that having a goal is a huge help in continuing to write on note, so I've summarized that realization here.
Burnout syndrome after passing a certification
The entire process from deciding to take on the Bookkeeping Level 3 exam to actually passing it provided me with material for note articles.
“I can't understand this part…”
“I gave up on taking the exam…”
Since everything could be turned into content, I almost never had to worry about what to write each day.
Thankfully, the study content and the struggles I faced leading up to passing the exam were directly connected to my daily posts.
Once the exam was over and I received the notification that I had passed, I felt a strange sensation of, 'Wait? Maybe I have nothing to write about?'
Perhaps because I lost my goal, I felt like there was a void, and I experienced something like burnout syndrome.
That was when I realized that having a goal itself is a great help in continuing to write on note.
Goals are a 'treasure trove of ideas'
When you have a goal, every small bit of progress and every setback becomes an article.
For example, when you are studying to get a certification, you can write about
“textbook reviews,”
“tips for study time,”
“a story about feeling down after a mock exam,” and so on;
all of these can be written as real experiences.
Things like “I want to earn 30,000 yen a month working from home” or
“I'm working hard on saving money for a family trip”
also become excellent articles just by sharing the process.
Readers might empathize with you, saying “I'll do my best too,” or support you with likes and comments, which also becomes motivation to keep going.
My goals for this year
By the way, my own goals for this year look like this.
・Increase income from remote work
・Update 50 articles on note
・Complete the Dytora AI Writing Course
・Complete the Dytora Instagram Operation Agency Expert Course
【Done】Passed Bookkeeping Level 3
・TOEIC 730 points
Now that I've written it all out, I realize there's still so much I want to do!
I've realized once again that this is no time to be struggling for ideas (lol).
Summary | Having goals makes it easier to keep writing on note
When you feel like you're "out of ideas for note...", it might be a good time to set a goal.
Whether it's for a certification, work, family matters, or anything else, any goal is fine.
If you share the process of working toward your goal, ideas will naturally come to you, and the support from your readers will be encouraging...!
I've also reaffirmed my desire to share the process as I clear my goals for this year one by one.
For those of you who feel like you might be "running out of ideas" too, let's work hard toward small goals together!
