The best gift is me getting better!
For a while now, I've been told I should get a smartwatch.
By my partner and my second daughter.
"I'd rather put that money toward medical expenses."
That's what I answered.
My partner runs every morning, so they use a smartwatch to manage their health.
If they were to collapse, it's set up to connect to my smartphone.
That feature is great!
Since starting EC therapy, I've been concerned about my heart rate increasing.
So, this is a birthday present from my partner♡

I'm an Android, oh, I mean, I'm a human.
The smartphone I use is an Android.
So I chose a Google smartwatch.
I've managed to do the basic setup for now.
The rest is up to my partner.
I set it up to receive notifications for calls, emails, and LINE.
I'm really not good with having things attached to my body, but I've gotten quite used to it thanks to the chemotherapy IVs lol
It also helps that the strap is silicone.
For now, it says I took a 1 hour and 4 minute nap today.
And then, my second daughter, who had been sewing, handed it to me saying, "Here, a birthday present🎁"

A shoulder pouch with a top zipper.
The flap pocket with embroidery is the perfect size for a smartphone.
It's a good size for just heading out with my wallet and phone.
My second daughter had absolutely no interest in crafts, so I was a little sad thinking that all the materials, sewing tools, and the sewing machine we have in the house would be thrown away once I'm gone.
But one day, she suddenly woke up to embroidery, and since the beginning of this year, for some reason, she's started putting effort into making bags.
She's become able to handle attaching zippers easily, and she makes about three pouches a day.
That is the greatest gift for me.
The embroidery on this bag is that thing that people in the know will recognize.
Asirpa-san's pattern.
It's embroidered with DMC variegated embroidery thread.
And this!

Sweets for three days in a row.
A LeTAO cake my partner ordered🎂, and Nama-Chano-Ka that my second daughter bought.
I buy Nama-Chano-Ka as gifts for others, but I'd never bought it for myself to eat, so this was actually my first time having it💦
It's quite rich.
The red cake is "Ruby Chocolat au Lait." I thought what was on top was adzuki beans, but it was actually raspberries💦
The sweet and sour combination of chocolate and raspberries made for a very delicious cake.
The one in the middle is also from LeTAO, a Gateau Pudding Tiramisu.
Just as the name suggests, it's a cake with pudding sandwiched in tiramisu.
Both arrived frozen, and we thaw them according to when we plan to eat them.
This size is just right for the three of us to eat.
Originally, I had absolutely no interest in brand-name bags or accessories, or rather, I don't have much desire for material things, so it seems my family struggled to find gifts for me.
So my partner changed tactics, and now they order cakes for our wedding anniversary and birthdays.
Consumables are great, aren't they✌️
My daughters used to pool their money together to give us trips as gifts, up until the COVID-19 pandemic.
I wonder when we'll be able to go on trips as a couple again.
We've been visiting the 100 Fine Castles of Japan and the Ichinomiya shrines across the country.
I hope I can get well enough to visit them all!
