August 19: A Day When Echoes of the Heart Resonate

Today is a day when
someone's 'thoughts'
are likely to gently reach your heart.

It might be someone close to you, or
perhaps someone you have yet to meet.

If your heart is suddenly stirred,
it is an invisible kindness directed toward you.

Please try listening just a little more closely.

Within the sound of the wind,
within the silence,
someone's wish may be blended in.

And, your own feelings too,
let us gently put them into words within your heart.

It is fine if you do not say them aloud.

Thoughts cross the sky,
and like light, they reach the other person.

Today, there is meaning in 'connecting'.

The presence behind words.
The warmth dwelling within gestures.
Please, do notice them.

When you receive a small kindness,
please, just believe in it as it is.

And, when night falls,
please try looking up at the sky.

Without you even realizing it,
the thoughts of someone far away may be descending into your heart like a shooting star.

That light will gently illuminate your heart,
and bring you a gentle peace.
