Wouldn't it be easier to create if I had generative AI make emotional illustrations? [Article Design Production Diary & Prompts Included]

Hello, I'm Yu Yanagi.

As I write on note and engage in creative activities, I often include illustrations to help convey the atmosphere of my articles more clearly.

↑ Things like this can be created from here ↓

However, I've actually felt that creating new images for every single scene is a bit of a hassle.

So, this time...

“Wouldn't it be much easier later on if I created a set of emotional illustration designs that I'm likely to use often in my articles in advance?

This is a diary recording the production process that started from that idea.

↑ I made something like this.

I've also included the prompts I used during production, so you can design them to match your own articles.

If anyone would like to use them, please feel free to do so. 💡

1. Using ChatGPT to
have the AI read emotions from my articles

First, let's talk about the preparation stage.

It's just my personal feeling, but I think
ChatGPT is very well-suited for tasks like inputting URLs to have it read note articles, researching necessary information, or having it thoroughly read and understand the content.

So, first, I'll have ChatGPT read several of my past articles. I'll post the prompt as well.

Prompt ↓

下記のURLのnote記事を読み込んで、よく使用される感情表現や、精神的変容の部分をピックアップしてください。
表現はシンプルなもので良く、感情の起こった背景などは特に必要ありません。

↓以下記事のURL

It analyzes various information, but what I want most here is the summary section.

The flow is to have it pick up the emotions I've written there and the feelings I want to convey to the readers, and then use that as a basis to think about the illustration designs.

2. After that, just instruct the Gemini illustration custom Gem and
leave the image generation to the AI!

Once the emotions are picked up, the rest is easy.

If you prepare a fixed prompt, the image generation model (nano banana) will output illustrations with roughly the same style.

For the custom illustration Gem I use, please refer to my past articles.

Actually, I used to include this custom illustration Gem in a paid magazine.

However, Mii-sama, a mutual follower, introduced this article of mine while setting up and supporting a note for regional business support.

I felt strongly that I wanted Mii-san's clients to be able to use it for free, so I have now changed the settings to make it publicly available for free.

I would be happy if many people could make use of it.

Below, I will list the prompts and examples of image production.

From here on, I will list the prompts I actually created and examples of image production.

I personally intend to keep including them in my future articles as well.

If there is anyone who wants to copy this, please feel free to go ahead and copy it.

Prompt ↓

Basically, you only need to change the red square part.

As for the base prompt, as a key point, I have included an instruction to fix the background to white.

The reason for this is that the default background color of note is white.

Unless the reader has set their smartphone to dark mode, keeping the background white makes it blend in very naturally with the article.

Below are image production examples and the prompts I threw into the Gemini Gem ↓

1. Achievement

I want you to output an image with nano banana pro.
・Make the character look like they have achieved something.
・Fix the background to white.
・Only one character in the image is fine.
・Basically, place the character on the right side.
・Make the speech bubble oval-shaped.
・Make the speech bubble about 2/3 the size of the entire image from the left.

I want you to put text in the speech bubble.
Text I want you to include ↓
I did it! ✨

※ Since it seems bad for note to copy and paste the same text over and over, I will turn them into images from here on.

2. Reflection

3. Determination

4. Relief

5. Disappointment

6. Gratitude

7. Conviction

8. Challenge (Positive)

And so,

Today's article was about creating templates for article design illustrations.

For someone like me who shares helpful information, I think emotional expressions come up quite often in articles.

So, I will continue to make good use of them whenever I have the opportunity.

Like this, creating templates in advance makes them easy to reuse later, which is great lol

I'm glad I was finally able to give shape to something I'd been keeping in the back of my mind to do eventually.

See you later!
