Time to regulate my emotions. Creating space for myself.
Sometimes, emotions can feel like they are overflowing.
Anger, sadness, confusion—when things like that build up inside,
I can no longer hear my own voice.
At times like that,
I make sure to set aside time to regulate my emotions for myself.
It is not about suppressing my emotions, but
time to properly feel them and embrace them.
Today,
I will write about the tips I use to regulate my emotions🌿
💡① Organize your words
When I feel confused,
first I put how I am feeling into words.
Instead of asking "Why?",
"How am I feeling right now?"
When I ask myself that,
the contours of my emotions become a little clearer.
💡② Don't force positivity
I don't tell myself "these emotions are bad" or try to force them to be positive.
I just feel them as they are and embrace them.
I believe that is
what creates space for me.
💡③ Have quiet time
I block out noise and information to create
time to be in silence.
I choose a place where my heart can relax,
like a cafe or out in nature, and just zone out.
Even just doing that
can help my emotions unravel.
💡④ Reclaim physical sensations
Walking, taking deep breaths, drinking warm tea—when I
become conscious of my physical sensations,
my emotions loosen up a little.
Especially when I am overthinking,
I value time to return to my body.
💡⑤ Regulating through aesthetic sense
Surrounding myself with things I love.
Kimono, fine food, comfortable spaces.
When my sensibilities are satisfied,
my emotions naturally begin to settle.
That is
time to regulate myself through my aesthetic sense.

Regulating emotions
is not about forcing a change.
It is about embracing them as they are and creating space.
On days when I can have that kind of time,
I feel like I canbe a little kinder to myself🌿
