Reflecting on the Six Months Spent Running Through #CreativeAwards2024

On October 25th at 12:00 PM, we announced the final results of the "Creative Awards 2024"!

Over the six months since we began accepting submissions in April (or even longer, if you count the time spent coordinating with media partners), there have been so many challenges.

There were many happy moments and many difficult ones. There were days when I instinctively pumped my fist in victory, and days that left me deep in thought—all of them are precious memories. But now that this whirlwind period has reached a milestone, I find myself feeling a little lonely (laughs).

Looking back on these past six months, what stands out most is an email I received from one of the winners of a Media Award.

I don't think I would have ever won an award for my novel if it weren't for the Creative Awards.
I imagine there are many hardships in running an open competition like the Creative Awards, and for better or worse, applicants experience a range of emotions they wouldn't have encountered in traditional public contests. (I certainly did.)
But even with that, I believe the Creative Awards is the happiest competition in Japan, where we can "read each other's work" and "exchange feedback."I am truly honored to have been able to make my debut through note.

(Published with prior permission.)

I still clearly remember tearing up when I received those words, thinking, "Ah, I'm so glad we worked hard for this..."

The Creative Awards is a contest we started with the desire to "support the creative activities of creators." At the awards ceremony held that evening, I was able to talk with many of the winners and truly felt that we are steadily moving closer to that goal. Plus, I was so happy to be able to share my thoughts directly with the authors who wrote the works!

Three hours before the awards ceremony...!

To all the winners, congratulations from the bottom of my heart!!

And to all the media partners who participated in the judging, and everyone who helped build excitement with the "#CreativeAwardsFeedback" project, thank you so much!!

Moving forward, our entire team will continue to strive to host projects that make people feel "I'm glad I wrote on note."
