I fixed my avatar's eyes rolling back! [Resonite]
Introduction.
This article was written in October 2025.
When I set up an avatar in Resonite, its eyes rolled back and it didn't look cute ;;
You've thought that at least once, right?
I looked into a few ways to fix this when it happens!
It seems the steps are different depending on whether you imported it via MAResonite or set it up from a 3D model, so I've written down both!
Please use the one that fits your avatar!
For avatars imported via ModularAvatar-Resonite
Using the "Modular Avatar Eye Swing Settings" tool
First, wear the avatar you want to configure!
This time, I'll be fixing Kuuai-chan's eyes.

Access the URL below↓↓
This is a tool that lets you view Unipocket, a Resonite in-game item retrieval tool, from your browser.
It will look like the page below!
Click "Copy AssetUrl".
The item's URL will be copied to your clipboard.

Once copied, go back to Resonite, open your dash menu, and press "Paste from clipboard" on the right side!

Then, the tool will appear in Resonite!

Next, either enter a number directly or move the bar to about 5, and press "Set"!
Use the trigger if you're in VR, or click if you're on desktop.

And that's it~~~!!!
If they still move too much, try making the number smaller, or if you want them to move a bit more, make the number larger. Adjust it to your liking based on your avatar's eye shape!
Don't forget tosave to your inventoryfor the configured avatar!

Configuring via the Inspector
If you don't want to configure it while wearing the avatar, I recommend this method!
Basic Devtool operations are required, so please check pages like the one below to learn how to equip the Devtool and open the Inspector before starting.
First, secondary-click on your avatar and open the inspector!

Once the inspector is open, press the button that looks something like "↑=," which is usually near the top.
This allows you to open the avatar's root.

Check the slots in the avatar's root and find the hierarchy labeled "Avatar Settings," written in light blue text.
1. Press the ▼ on Avatar Settings to open the hierarchy below, and
2. Find the slot named "Eye Swing," then double-trigger or double-click it.

The Eye Swing hierarchy will open; change the number in the "DynamicValueVariable" component's "Value" field to about 5.
It might look difficult at first, but this slot only contains this one component, so it's easy to find!

Just like when using tools, if it moves too much, try lowering the number, or if you want it to move more, increase the number to adjust it.
Once you're done adjusting, close the inspector and don't forget to save it to your inventory!

For avatars set up from FBX or GLB 3D models
This method also requires basic Devtool operations, so please check pages like the one below to learn how to equip the Devtool and open the inspector before starting.
First, secondary-click on your avatar and open the inspector!
At this time, make sure to secondary-click toward the avatar's head.
Doing this will open the Head hierarchy.

If you open the inspector in this state, the Head slot should open!
If the Head doesn't open, press the "↑=" button at the top to move to the avatar's root and then look for the Head!
You should generally be able to reach the Head by following the path: CenteredRoot → Armature → Hips → Spine → Chest (sometimes UpperChest is in between!) → Neck.

Once you've opened the Head slot, confirm that the root name is Head, then
look for "Eye Manager" inside the Head and double-trigger or double-click it!

Once you open the Inspector hierarchy, look for "EyeRotationDriver" among the many components.
It's a real challenge if you're allergic to English. Good luck!

Once you've found the "EyeRotationDriver", try setting the "MaxSwing" value inside it to about 5!
If it moves too much at 5, try making the number smaller, or if you want it to move a bit more, increase the number to adjust it.

If you're still confused, don't hesitate to come ask me directly!
You can reply on X, or find me in Resonite.
Just say, "I saw your note..." and I'll be happy to help.
Also, if you ask people around there, they'll likely teach you something or connect you with someone who knows, so try going to a session in Resonite where people are hanging out and ask your question!
See you later!
