A Former Akihabara Regular, Now a YouTube Fan

My father's obsession(?), the PC edition.
A man who can even build his own PC.
He is a genuine geek.

My father's mornings start early. He wakes up around 5:30.

And the first thing he does is turn on the computer on the kotatsu table.
It's not 'good morning' or tea; it's the computer first.

While he's at home, he's there almost all day long.

My father has had a relationship with computers for a very long time.
He made them his own before they were even widespread, and he even taught younger generations at his company how to use PCs.
He has built his own PCs and was a regular who frequented Akihabara in search of parts.
I think he also did some programming (as a hobby).

Honestly, I don't know how many he owns now.
Between desktops and laptops, they are scattered all over the house.

As for what my father does on his PC now, it's games and YouTube.
Sometimes he watches videos with negative content, and I wish he would stop, but he won't listen to me.
It's like the feeling of a parent worrying about a child watching bad videos.

My father wears earphones. So, basically, he is silent, just staring at the screen.

"Is the computer your lover or something?"

My mother mutters an insult under her breath.
My father doesn't hear it. Probably.

Does he hear it and ignore it, or does he really not hear it?
I've never checked.
I also feel like it's better not to check.
