My story of how I went from not being a creator to being able to sell articles on note
This is the third time I have written
an introduction article.
By the way, the second one is here👇
Do you really need to write
an introduction so many times?
I sometimes think that, but compared to when I wrote it before,
what I do on note,
and my own way of thinking have changed quite a bit.
In my second introduction article, I updated the data every month,
but I realized I had written it last August,
so I am writing it again📝
It is easier to use the comment section
if I write a new one😆
That said, just rearranging my work and hobbies
would not be much different
from my previous article.
What I want to convey in this introduction is that
even though I had no experience in publishing writing,
I became able to sell articles on note.
That is it.
However, this is not a story like,
“I went from having no experience to a brilliant success!”
Even now that I am able to sell articles,
I am still just as lost as ever🙄
Even so, I am writing articles today.
It is not so much a picture of growth, but a picture of being in the middle of growing.
I am still not a finished product.
To begin with, I was not
doing a job that involved writing.
I have not been publishing for a long time,
nor have I been delivering anything
to a large number of people on social media.
I do create product pages for online shops,
but that is operated with different know-how.
That is right.
When I started note,
I only knew the theory and etiquette of writing
to the extent of a book report.
I am full of things I do not understand.
For my first article, I had a little free time, so I thought,
let's put what is in my head into words and leave it behind.
Since it is my first time writing,
I will try to imitate someone else's first post,
that was the kind of feeling I had when I started writing.
Now, I think about the structure of my writing,
look back on how it is read,
and worry about the price of paid articles, but
I didn't think about things like this
from the very beginning.
I don't think I ever really imagined a future
where I would sell paid articles.
Let alone that someone would
pay money for my writing😉
I could write freely because I didn't know any better
But looking back now,
that wasn't entirely a bad thing either🤔
I didn't know the theory.
I didn't know the conventions.
That's precisely why
I didn't have to stop myself from the start by thinking,
“Maybe this isn't worth making into an article.”
Things I thought about at work.
Time spent with family.
Stories about going on trips.
Records of the ups and downs of investing.
My favorite clothes and personal items.
The feeling of happiness after reading someone else's article.
The little fun things in everyday life.
I have shared things I found interesting
and feelings I liked
just as they were.
Sometimes the story goes over here,
and sometimes it comes back over there.
Sometimes, while I'm writing,
I end up landing in a place
different from the conclusion I had in mind at the start.
In the beginning, I was even
racking my brain for topics, wondering,
“What should I write about?”🤣
But because I wrote that way,
I think my own way of enjoying things
remained in my note.
Because I wasn't a content creator,
I wasn't bound by the 'correct' way of a content creator.
This is my way of enjoying it.
When I wrote, someone read it
When I wrote and published an article,
someone read it.
I'd get 'likes' or receive comments.
I would go read their articles too.
I'd meet more people and words I liked.
Then, I'd want to write the next article.
Rather than having a big goal from the start
and continuing because of it,
this habit was fun,
and before I knew it, the number of articles had grown.
Things that were just inside me
changed into something else
by having someone receive them.
The feeling I had when I first started note
is one of the reasons why I
continue to write even now.
And, while continuing to write free articles,
I also began to challenge myself with paid articles.
Putting a price on my own writing
When I published my first paid article,
I worried quite a bit.
Is it okay to put a price on this content?
What if no one buys it?
After they buy it,
will they be disappointed?
Everyone worries about that, right?
I'm the same.😌
Even though it's just pressing the publish button,
there is a different kind of tension compared to free articles.
Things I thought about while continuing note.
Someone read the continuation of those writings.
As a result, the article sold.
But rather than saying I sold a product well,
I kept writing because it was fun,
and then people started buying the continuation.
For now, that expression feels the most fitting.
Before I knew it,
I was riding the wave of note's mission
note Inc. has set forth the mission of
“making it possible for anyone to start and continue creating.”
as their mission.
note is a service for anyone to freely enjoy and continue creating. How you use it is up to you. You can post about things you like or want to convey, read and support creators' articles, or connect with people who share the same hobbies or thoughts.
I didn't start note
with these words in mind.
Or rather, I didn't know about it when I started.🙄
Even so, looking back,
I too have been nicely carried along by that flow.
A person who didn't realize they were creating
starts writing articles.
Without knowing how to write,
they put their likes and joys out into the world.
Someone reads it.
They get happy and write again.
Little by little, they can do more things,
and they challenge themselves with paid articles.
And then, I became able to have those articles
purchased.
Furthermore,
it wasn't just about "starting,"
but it is still continuing today.
In fact, I am writing more now than when I first started.
I was supposed to have started because I had a little free time, but
before I knew it, I was writing articles
even while working during my busiest periods.
I even managed to create time
to enrich my heart✨
Sharing the process of growth:
"The Like and Love Laboratory"
The project I run is
the membership "The Like and Love Laboratory."
Here, I share my own experiments with
posting on note, creating paid articles,
and managing memberships.
This is not a place to teach
perfected success formulas or
reproducible methods.
Thinking about what would be fun to do,
sharing it in the membership,
trying it out, and getting lost again.
Including the process before reaching a conclusion, this is a place
for you to watch.
"I wonder how this will turn out?"
It's like looking at a test tube together
while saying things like that🧪
There are experiments that succeed and experiments that fail.
Sometimes plans change.
But I believe that because it is unfinished and in the present,
there are things I can share💡
It is not a story from the past by someone who has already achieved something, but
a record in progress of me, who had no experience in writing,
continuing to write, selling articles,
and exploring what comes next.
If you would like to see that process from a little closer,
I would be happy if you came to visit the laboratory🥰
Having people who think, try,
and enjoy things with me
is a great support for me.
A paid magazine summarizing the first year
And one more thing.
I have prepared a magazine
where you can read all the paid articles
I wrote in my first year
since starting note✨
If membership is a place to share
"what I am thinking about right now,"
then this magazine is
a place where you can trace
what I thought about during my first year,
and what kind of paid articles I wrote,
even though I had no experience in writing and publishing
👀
It has been a little over a year since my first paid article.
Thanks to you, I have sold over 600 copies,
and looking at it from my current perspective,
there are parts where I think,
"I could have written this a little better."

But this is a record that includes all of that.
I wasn't good at it from the start.
I gradually experimented and moved closer to my current form.
I would be happy if you could read about that process
in both my free and paid articles ✨
If you want to see what happens next together with me,
join my membership 🧪
If you want to read a summary of
what an amateur who started on note in 2025
has been thinking and writing about,
head over to my paid magazine 📚
Of course, I would also be very happy
if you just feel like reading my free articles 💖
I hope you enjoy my note
at whatever distance feels comfortable for you.
My third self-introduction, still a work in progress
This is my third self-introduction.
I started on note
even though I had no experience in publishing writing.
As I wrote about my hobbies and things I like,
I met people who read my work.
And now, people buy my paid articles,
and I even run a membership.
When I lay it out like this,
it looks like I've come a long way.
But I am still on the journey.
The things I want to write about will likely change,
and my thoughts on paid articles might change too.
I think the content of my membership
will continue to evolve in the future.
I might be writing my fourth self-introduction
again next year.
I am writing this article while thinking,
"I hope I can read this and laugh
at the things I was worried about back then."
Because I didn't know the theories or etiquette,
I was able to put my own joys and interests
out into the world just as they were.
Precisely because I wasn't a content creator,
I was able to enjoy writing
before I felt the need to look like one.
I would be happy if you could continue
to enjoy my journey of growth
along with me.🥰
