Things I do to get home even a little earlier every day

The era of 'working long hours is good' is long gone. With the emphasis on work-life balance and a shrinking labor force, the key is how to increase productivity.

One of the things I value in my work is that 'work is about rhythm'. How smoothly and stress-free you can proceed determines your speed.

What I would like to recommend is dictionary registration.

For example, if you type your office or home address seriously, you would need at least 15 characters like 'Tokyo-to Shibuya-ku Shibuya...'. I have set it up so that if I type 'ju', the address appears in the predictive text.

You might think, 'It only saves a few seconds,' but if you repeat the same thing for the next few decades, it adds up to a significant amount of time (a decrease in speed). Moreover, the more you type, the higher the risk of typos and incorrect conversions. These lead to stress and disrupt your work rhythm.

I also set it up so that if I type 'den', my phone number '080-XXXX-XXXX' appears, and I do the same dictionary registration on my iPhone as well as my PC.

If I were to mention a point of caution, it is 1not to register single-character words.

For example, if you register 'O' for 'Osewa ni narimasu' (Thank you for your support), you won't be able to use 'Otsukaresama desu' (Thank you for your hard work) or 'Ohayou gozaimasu' (Good morning). Therefore, you should use two or more characters for predictive text, such as 'ose' for 'Osewa ni natte orimasu' and 'otsu' for 'Otsukaresama desu'.

Also, I recommend not including punctuation marks in your predictive text.

For example, if you register 'Moushiwake gozaimasen.' (I am sorry.), you will have to delete the period when you want to type 'Moushiwake gozaimasen ga,...' (I am sorry, but...). It is a waste to feel the stress of deleting a character when you are using predictive text. Therefore, it is better to register by sentence or word unit.
