[#WeeklyShortShortNote] Long-Distance Relationship for Sale
I have no experience with long-distance relationships.
Honestly, I wonder what it's like to be in a situation where you can only meet a handful of times. I don't have the confidence to keep that up.
One day, while I was browsing social media to kill time as usual, a user followed me.
There was a comment attached to it,
"Would you like to buy a long-distance relationship?"
What does that mean?
I thought it was a new type of scam and tried to ignore it, but since I'm single now, out of curiosity to see what it would be like to buy it half-jokingly,
"How much does it cost?"
I replied, and,
"How about 10,000 yen?"
came the reply, along with an attached image.
She was a girl as cute as an idol.
"She's so cute. I think I'll try dating her, even if it is a long-distance relationship."
Before I knew it, I was interested, and
"I'll buy a long-distance relationship for 10,000 yen!"
I replied. Then, from the other party,
"Thank you so much! I'm going to love you so much! I look forward to working with you!"
along with the details of a bank account for the transfer.
I headed to the convenience store with a smile on my face.

The theme this time was [Long-Distance Relationship for Sale].
In a word, it's a story about being careful of sweet talk, but the protagonist is just too impulsive (lol).
However, they say "love is blind," so I'm sure there are quite a few people who can't see through a scam because they haven't been able to find a partner.
By the way, I never fell for a scam when I was a student, but I had many relationships that were more than friends but less than lovers, which left me feeling quite frustrated, so I might have been susceptible to this kind of scam 😭
I have a wife and children now, and because of my experiences as a student, I am very suspicious of romantic relationships, so it's useless to try and use sweet talk on me now. If something seems suspicious, I'd cut ties immediately (lol).
