Gero is loved by everyone, from newcomers to long-time fans.
He has been active since 2009.
My first encounter with Gero was through 'Yasashii Kiss wo Shite'.
I simply like DREAMS COME TRUE's 'Yasashii Kiss wo Shite', so I searched for covers and found 'Yasashii Kiss wo Shite / (Cover) Gero'. When I played it, two questions came to mind,

That is how I learned about the 'utaite' genre through Gero.
Charm 1: Wide range of expression using a vocal range of over 4 octaves
Gero's charm lies in his voice, which utilizes a range of over 4 octaves.
He doesn't just sing high-energy songs; he also sings ballads. Recently, I watched him perform 'Vita', written for him by Hiiragi Kirai, and 'Dokuzu' by Nakiso at the'Gero Live Tour 2021: I Really Want to Do a Live Tour Tokyo Final -Streaming-', and he changes his vocal quality to match each song.
Charm 2: Perfect facial expression management
Gero is so good at singing that people don't mention it, but his 'facial expression management is perfect'.
I watched his performance of 'Vita' at the 'Gero Live Tour 2021: I Really Want to Do a Live Tour Tokyo Final -Streaming-' at least 100 times, and his facial expression management is perfect for every song.
Compared to utaite who rarely show their faces, I think this is Gero's overwhelming strength.

As an utaite, he constantly takes on new challenges, continues to connect with various people regardless of genre, and I believe he is the person who has contributed the most to protecting the history of utaite.

Gero is 39 years old (as of February 27, 2025), but his visuals become more beautiful every year.
I watched this video, and I can tell he takes 125 times more care of himself than I do as a woman.

Gero's goal is the "Budokan"
Leading up to February 4, 2024, he held a six-performance nationwide hall tour titled "Gero Live Tour 2023 'The Beginning'."
This was his first-ever hall tour, and the venue for the final Tokyo performance, "Tokyo International Forum Hall A," had the largest capacity for a Gero solo concert, surpassing his 2015 "Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall" performance.
During the "Gero Live Tour 2021 I Really Want to Do a Live Tour Tokyo Final -Streaming-," he said his goal was the "Budokan."
"Goodbye, Budokan"
However, Gero actually titled it "Goodbye, Budokan" and I also won a ticket for the "Budokan performance" on Wednesday, February 26, 2025!
This is the happiest thing that has happened to me this year!
I am truly grateful to Gero for constantly evolving!
