Self-Introduction: A workshop for designing your 'Digital Brain' (alter ego/advisor).

Nice to meet you. My name is Yoshi.
I design 'Digital Brains'.
*Raw AI: AI provided as-is by providers (OpenAI, Google, etc.). It does not know you.
*Digital Brain: An AI that knows you well.
*Exclusive AI: A Digital Brain that acts as your advisor and consultant.
*Alter Ego AI: A Digital Brain that acts as your proxy and spokesperson.
If we consider 2023 as the year the democratization of AI began,
Before 2022 could be called 'BC' (Before Christ/Computing)
After 2023 could be called 'AD' (Anno Domini/After Digital)
perhaps that is how it could be described.
Back in the 'BC' era, I was a consultant.
I was involved in business support for associations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and sole proprietors.
I mainly focused on supporting the launch and accompaniment of new businesses.
Then AI appeared, and the 'AD' era began.
And, being the lazy person I am, I thought of something like this.
Wouldn't it be great if I could recreate the inside of an AI's head to be just like me, train it, and lend it to my clients?
'From today, this person is in charge of your company. He is my apprentice. Please consult him about anything.'
Holding onto that dream, I began researching how to make AI my apprentice.

Initially, it was difficult.
To install 'me' into an AI, it required an amount of information equivalent to a novel, but the AI of that time (2023) had a small capacity and couldn't fit it all.
But now, it has become possible.
Currently, the amount of information in a novel can be easily accommodated.
Technically, it has become possible.
However, as I continued my research and practice, I realized that the 'initial concept (= lending out my apprentice)' itself was wrong.
Why?
Because my apprentice AI doesn't know the client.
Since it is my apprentice, it knows me well, but it has no knowledge about the client.
In that state, to achieve consulting results, the client would have had to carefully explain their company to the AI (my apprentice) themselves.
But, the client wouldn't want to do such a troublesome thing, would they?
You'd want to say, 'Go study before you come here.'
What was needed was not an AI instilled with my knowledge.
It had to be an 'AI instilled with the client's knowledge'.
In other words,

So, I fundamentally revised my design philosophy.

This 'AI that has learned the client's information' is the core of our workshop, the Digital Brain.

Even though capacity has increased, there is a limit to the amount of information an AI can handle at once.
Also, it is not necessarily better to pack information in until you reach capacity.
This is where research becomes necessary.
From the client's vast knowledge, 'how much knowledge' should be installed and 'how' should it be organized?
How do we verbalize knowledge that has not yet been put into words?
At the workshop, we call this 'Workshop-style Context Engineering'.
AI capacity is evolving daily, becoming more flexible.
How to make good use of that and deeply embed the client's 'context' into the AI is also a matter of creativity and ingenuity.

There is one more important design element.
'Role'.
Even with the same 'knowledge' installed, a Digital Brain's behavior differs depending on 'who it is for and how it behaves.'
It is the same as how having the same athletic ability results in completely different outcomes depending on whether one becomes a soccer player or a baseball player.
This design of 'role' creates the classification of 'Exclusive AI' and 'Alter Ego AI'.

[1] Exclusive AI = Advisor, Consultant, Mentor
'Exclusive AI' is an AI designed with the role of 'treating the client as the owner and acting as the owner's consultant' after installing the client's knowledge, experience, values, and thinking.
The primary user is the client themselves (the owner).
It directly supports the owner by acting as a sounding board, generating ideas, or writing.
Exclusive AI for Mr./Ms. XX, a classroom instructor
Exclusive AI for Mr./Ms. XX, Chairman of the XX Association
Exclusive AI for Mr./Ms. XX, a professional
These all serve as 'excellent advisors' working for the owner.

[2] Alter Ego AI = Agent, Spokesperson
'Alter Ego AI' also has roughly the same installed knowledge.
It is based on the owner's knowledge, experience, values, and thinking.
However, their roles are different.
An 'Alter Ego AI' is designed to act as a proxy or spokesperson for the owner, handling questions and consultations from third parties such as customers, members, or students.
The primary users are not the owners themselves.
They are the 'customers,' 'members,' and 'students' on the other side.
Even while the owner (the human) is sleeping, the Alter Ego AI acts as 'another version of the owner,' answering customer questions, communicating with members, instructing students, and representing the client's philosophy and values.

In summary, it is like this.
Commonality: Both install the 'owner's knowledge, experience, values, and thinking'.
Difference: The definition of their 'role' is different.
1. Exclusive AI = Brain (Acts as a consultant who understands the owner's circumstances and engages in dialogue with the owner themselves)
2. Alter Ego AI = Proxy/Spokesperson (Acts as a representative who reproduces the owner's knowledge and thinking to interact with the owner's customers)
AI is not just a tool for efficiency. It can become a human's 'digital brain' (a second brain) or 'another self' (a proxy).
What I am aiming for is to welcome AI as a partner and to redefine the relationship between humans and AI.
