Cultivating Entrance Ceremonies (Weekly Short-Short Note)

Once the news of cherry blossoms arrives, I must hurry to prepare for shipment.
In the fish preserve filled with the light of a new morning, I scatter the final feed, a mixture of bashful earthworms and excited worms.
Opening their mouths wide as if to compete, they are entrance ceremonies, swollen round with anxiety and anticipation.
At the start of the new fiscal year welcomed in this way, I attach red and white ribbons and ship them out to various parts of the Japanese archipelago, accompanied by the spirit of congratulations.
