3 Reasons Why I Enjoy AirCloset

Do you know about the clothing subscription service, AirCloset?

I have been using this service since the fall of 2020.
I use the Regular Plan (which allows you to borrow 3 items at a time as many times as you want per month).

~How I started AirCloset~
When I was a student, I loved the LUMINE sales and would buy lots of clothes every time.
After I got married and had children, I no longer had storage space, lost interest in fashion, and ended up buying safe, basic clothes from UNIQLO and MUJI.
A striped long-sleeve T-shirt and black bottoms were my go-to outfit.
Although I wanted to wear nice clothes, I no longer knew which brands were good, and it felt like too much trouble to look them up.

That was when I found out about AirCloset, and I realized, 'Oh, that's right, I used to love fashion!' and signed up immediately.

Having reached this point, I thought about the reasons why I continue to use AirCloset.

I'd like to introduce the three reasons I like it in particular.

The fact that it's a rental service

I have almost no desire to own things.
If I can borrow something, I want to borrow as much as possible.
I'm probably a minimalist.

I believe that buying clothes also means buying (accepting) the need for storage space, daily maintenance, and the choice of whether or not to dispose of them.
So, it's too much of a burden for me.

In the winter, I borrow sweaters and return them without washing them.
*AirCloset does not require cleaning upon return.
To put it mildly, it's the best!

Being able to easily coordinate outfits

It's convenient when I want to coordinate outfits with my children (sisters in 2nd grade and preschool).

The other day, I had plans to go out for lunch.
I wanted to dress my children in light blue dresses.
So, I requested, 'I would like a blue-toned dress that matches my children's outfits.'
A nice blue dress arrived, and I went out to lunch feeling excited!

You can make requests, and depending on the plan, you can choose one item you like, so picking out the clothes you want to wear yourself is also an option. It's fun!

It gives me a reason to go out and makes me excited

This might be the number one reason.
I work remotely often, and I spend a lot of time playing at the park on my days off, so I'm not borrowing clothes out of necessity.

However, when I have nice clothes, even the daily drop-off and pick-up at daycare is fun.
Going shopping is also somehow fun.
I get excited thinking, 'Should I wear that outfit tomorrow?'
I get excited thinking, 'I'll coordinate with my kids and take pictures!'
I look for places to go, thinking, 'I want to go out wearing this outfit!'
Maybe I just love that kind of time.
