Setting goals is self-satisfaction, not the absolute truth
Since I was a child, I have been told to have goals.
Decide on your future dreams.
Get married by a certain age.
Buy a house by a certain age.
Aim for a certain annual income.
Of course, some people find happiness that way.
For some, moving toward a goal becomes their reason for living.
However, that is not the right answer for everyone.
For a long time, I couldn't find my own goals.
Each time, I felt anxious.
Because it seemed like everyone around me was moving forward steadily.
But now I think.
Setting goals is just satisfaction, not the absolute truth.
Because life is not a journey that follows a map.
Chance encounters.
A sudden sense of unease.
An inexplicable impulse.
Such 'sparks' can change the direction of your life.
If the old me had only believed in rigid goals, I might not be drawing pictures like this today.
That is why I trust my heart's reactions more than goals.
When you encounter something,
you might feel drawn to it without knowing why.
Follow that feeling.
It is okay if it looks like a detour.
It is okay if it is full of side trips.
The accumulation of those moments will eventually become a path that is uniquely yours.
It is okay not to have goals.
What you need is not a grand plan.
It is not to overlook what your inner spark reacts to today.
Life is not a game of achieving goals, but
an adventure of collecting sparks.
