Your life is one of a kind! Even if similar lives exist, the same life exists nowhere else!

According to books, the expression "yuiitsu-muni" (one and only) refers to something that has no substitute and is the only one of its kind, or it describes a presence or degree so outstanding that nothing else can compare to it.

Both "yuiitsu" and "muni" in this four-character idiom express the same thing; "yuiitsu" means "the only one, with nothing else like it," and "muni" means "there is no second, it is irreplaceable." (^_^)b

Looking at it this way, both "yuiitsu" and "muni" have similar meanings, and since "muni" also includes the nuance of being the best, the term "yuiitsu-muni" emphasizes the meaning of "the one and only best thing."

It truly seems to describe life itself, and I think it is fair to say that "yuiitsu-muni" is the perfect expression for life. (^^ゞ

Now, with the war caused by the unreasonable invasion, many lives have been lost, cities where people lived have been completely destroyed, and reports are flooding in showing people suffering while begging for help.

We Japanese feel keenly that war must never be waged for any reason, and it made me think again that we must not treat this as someone else's problem but as our own, prioritizing the protection of human life and never forgetting to return to a peaceful state without conflict. 🤔

In our country, while sad news continues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the "Vital Statistics" released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2019 confirmed that the leading cause of death for young people aged 15 to 39 is "suicide." 😥

I feel strongly that it is unacceptable to take one's own life, which was granted to this world as a one-of-a-kind existence, rather than connecting with others and living it out, and I truly wish for everyone to cherish their own lives. 😥

You are important, of course, and so am I, and everyone else is an important existence too.

In this world, you are an irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind existence, so I think we need to cherish ourselves more. (^_^)b

I don't think you need to think about philosophical or religious questions at all, such as the deep meaning of life or the reason you were born.

My thought is that if we just keep the importance of life in mind and seriously think about what it means to live and to go about our daily lives, that would be enough.

No matter who you are or what your profession is, each person is a one-of-a-kind existence, so I think everyone must understand that ranking people or evaluating them based on superiority or inferiority is merely a rearrangement under certain conditions.

It is merely a rearrangement, so I feel strongly that we must not commit the strange mistake of deciding a person's character based on such rankings.

I have written about this theme several times, but if we respect individual character, I think we should rethink how arrogant and presumptuous it is to easily rank people and evaluate them based on superiority or inferiority, and how far removed from the essence of things the values that condone such behavior are. (^_^)b

No matter how similar a life you may be leading, it is never the same life, and no matter how similar it may seem, it is a completely separate, unique life.

That is exactly what a unique, one-of-a-kind life is, no matter whose life it is.

There is no need to attach adjectives like "ordinary," "admirable," or "pathetic" to it. (^_^)b

Since every person's life is one of a kind, I think the only words that could possibly be attached are those that respect its uniqueness, such as "wonderful" or "precious."

Yet, to use other adjectives is incredibly rude and disrespectful to life, isn't it? 🤗

That is why I think everyone should have more confidence and fully savor their own one-of-a-kind life, while enjoying it more and more. (^_^)b

To put it another way, honestly accepting yourself as you are, and being prepared to live life in your own way is what leads to enjoying an irreplaceable, unique, and one-of-a-kind life, or so I think. (^_^)b
