[Diagram 1686] Assessing the Impact of Effort: 'Knowing When to Wait'

[Graph Type] Some things are such that effort easily leads to results, while others are heavily influenced by factors beyond effort.
For example, when studying for a certification exam, generally speaking, the more effort you put in, the more likely you are to pass.
In contrast, job hunting involves significant elements of timing and luck, so once you have done what you need to do, it is important to settle in and wait.
Effort is important, but assess its impact accordingly and know when to wait.
This is a diagram based on what I felt while studying for a certification exam and job hunting.
Since the second half of last year, I have been job hunting for my main career, and since the end of last year, I have been studying for the Financial Planner (FP) Level 3 certification exam (this is a hobby).
As my job hunt is still ongoing, I have unintentionally been doing both in parallel, and I felt that:
Studying for a certification exam: The more effort you put in, the easier it is to pass (basically, it is a matter of your own efforts alone. However, it is important not to misdirect your efforts).
Job hunting:There is a limit to how much effort influences the results (since other people are involved, elements of timing and luck are also significant).
I felt that the impact of effort differs in these ways.
I tend to be the type who takes the local train until I make a decision, and then switches to an express train once I have decided.
However, I realized that if I am always in 'express mode' during my job hunt, I end up wasting energy during the 'just waiting' periods, such as waiting for job postings or waiting for contact after an interview.
Therefore, regarding my job hunt, I plan to be more deliberate in the future—moving when it is time to move, and settling in to wait patiently when it is time to wait, such as by consciously doing other things.
I used certification exams and job hunting as examples based on my recent experience, but the content of this diagram can be applied to various things, such as:
Business improvement (tasks that can be completed by yourself versus tasks that involve others)
Means of transportation (bus schedules are hard to predict, but cycling or walking is easier to predict up to a certain distance)
People's feelings (you can intervene quite a bit with your own feelings, but there is a very limited amount you can do to intervene with the feelings of others)
and so on.
Please try to keep in mind the idea of 'assessing the impact of effort and waiting when you need to wait' (I would be happy if you could let me know in the comments section if you have any good examples of how you've applied this).
Thank you for reading this time as well.
