Rather than lamenting yesterday's stars, read today from tomorrow's stars

The unexpected connection between "all things are created twice" and Four Pillars of Destiny

Stephen R. Covey explains this in his book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."

When building a house, there is a blueprint before a single nail is driven. Life is the same; the intellectual first creation of "what kind of person I want to become" must come first, and only then does reality (the second creation) begin to move—this is the core of Habit 2, "Begin with the End in Mind."

When I read this, I couldn't help but stop in my tracks.

Wait, this is about how to read the Four Pillars of Destiny.

"Reading the chart from yesterday" vs. "Reading the chart from tomorrow"

When performing Four Pillars of Destiny readings, I find that even people with the same chart can interpret it in completely different ways.

One is the "reading the chart from yesterday" pattern.

"As I thought, I don't have the Indirect Wealth star, so I have no luck with money." "Because I have the Hurting Officer star, I'm bound to stumble in my relationships anyway." "Was it because of this star that these things happened in the past?"

This is a way of reading that tries to "prove" past experiences and failures through the chart. If you do this, the chart becomes a curse.

The other is the "reading the chart from tomorrow" pattern.

"When I work backward from the future self I want to become, what meaning does this star have?"
"How can I utilize the energy this star possesses to make my life interesting?"

This is a way of reading that uses the chart as a compass.

The chart was a blueprint

I believe that what Covey calls the "intellectual first creation (blueprint)" might just be the chart itself.

The Four Pillars and Eight Characters carved at the moment of your birth show "what kind of qualities you were born with." It is not a finished product, but a map of materials.

Even if you have a blueprint, the shape of the house changes depending on the builder's intent. Even with the same chart, you can choose which parts to emphasize, which to reinforce, and which to let go of.

Try looking at today's chart after first envisioning the finished form of your "tomorrow (future) self."

The same stars will begin to shine with a completely different face.
