Why is the curry from my parents' house so delicious?

I went back to my parents' house for Obon, and the moment I took a bite of the curry they served me, I just went, "Ahhh..."
Why is home-cooked food from your parents so delicious? The roux they use is just the standard stuff you can buy anywhere, right? Yet, it has that "perfect taste" that is completely different from what I make myself.

So, I was staring at the curry, thinking about it, and I realized: parents know your preferences inside and out. They know things like, "My kid likes big chunks of meat," or "This is the right balance of sweet and spicy." Plus, since they haven't seen you in a while, they'll even add things like, "I threw in some of your favorite fried chicken, too!" It's a plate packed with years of love and experience, so of course it's going to be delicious!

Don't you think this is exactly the same as note?

Even when reading posts, if you act like a rebellious middle schooler and get cynical, thinking, "Oh, this topic again?" or "The content is always so similar," nobody is going to have a good time reading it with such a prickly attitude.
Instead, just like when you're eating curry at your parents' house,

"Wow! This creator really loves this topic, don't they? (lol)"
"Yes, exactly! This unique analogy, this is it!"

I think both the reader and the writer can be much happier if you enjoy the writer's "favorites" and "usual tropes" together like that.
Writers often post while feeling a bit anxious, wondering, "Am I writing about the same things again?" So, if they get a reaction like, "I've been waiting for this! This is what I wanted to read!" it's a huge relief, and it really boosts their motivation to "Alright, I'm going to simmer up some more delicious curry (writing) next time!"

This warm exchange of "You like this, right?" and "Yeah, I love it!" is probably the secret to why both readers and writers can keep going comfortably for a long time.
