Daily Life, Things That Are There
Yesterday, I participated in an event held at Keirindo Shoten Nara Store 2F Shoin.
I went to this event with a classmate from graduate school, and she was also with me on a trip to Manazuru, Kanagawa Prefecture, last spring.
This time, it was also an event regarding a new publication from Manazuru Shuppan, a publisher where you can stay, which is located in Manazuru...
I was naturally drawn to the content of the book, but I also signed up because I was looking forward to reuniting with everyone at Manazuru Shuppan who took such good care of me during my trip.
Manazuru Shuppan is unique in that it is a publisher where you can stay, but there is one more special service you can experience only there.
That is Manazuru's "town walk".
Someone's daily life is someone else's extraordinary experience.
The people, things, and events that are nothing special to those living in the town can sometimes appear fresh to a traveler.
It is an inn where you can enjoy a "town walk" that lets you dive into the daily life of the town.
This kind of fun is not like the fun of a theme park, where you are in a constructed place and stick to the passive role of a "customer."
It was a time to experience a daily-life-like extraordinary experience while checking what my own antenna reacts to, all while experiencing the "things that are there in the town" with my five senses.

Even during yesterday's event in Nara, the word "daily life" came up many times.
The people who spoke were all individuals who have made the daily lives of their own towns rich and enjoyable.

I also became even more eager to visit HAGISO, run by Pinpin-san, and Ikebukuro, which is Mr. Aoki's field!
And, while learning from such wonderful practices, I would like to enjoy the "daily life" of my own town, Ujitawara, happily and together with travelers.
Thank you to everyone involved in the event!
