A question for everyone! Where do you draw the line for "contains explicit content"??
Try posting on TALES
I have already submitted several works to the "Creative Awards Advance Entry" but this is the part I struggle with every time.

This is what is known as "self-rating" .
Since it is "self"-rating, I suppose it should be up to the author's discretion, but that is precisely why I find it difficult to gauge the "right balance."
Asking the TALES management team is one option, but I feel like I can already imagine their answer.
・ Within the bounds of common sense
・ Nothing that violates public order and morals
I think they would only be able to answer with phrases like that.
So, I thought to myself,
"How does everyone else think about this??"
.
That's it!
There are so many people on note who create and read creative works!
So, I'll just ask them!!
With that said, I will now proceed with my questions.
I have set them up as Yes/No questions to make them easier to answer, but if you have "strong opinions" on any of the items, I would appreciate it if you could add them!
You are welcome to let me know in the comments section, or you can copy and paste them into your own article!
If you write an article, please add the tag "#RatingAnswer" ! (To ensure I don't miss any)
I am thinking of eventually compiling the statistics and writing an article about it as a "general guideline," so I would appreciate your cooperation.

The reason I'm so conflicted about this is...
As mentioned before, since it's ultimately "self-rating," there's no real need to worry about it too much, but both note and TALES are,
places where anyone can easily read if they want to
aren't they??
Conversely, there is certainly no way to set it so that "I don't want people like this to read this work." even if you wanted to.
People can still read it even if you put a warning, and making it paid content isn't a fundamental solution. I sometimes post with extra line breaks above the warning, but even that can hardly be called "foolproof."
Among note users, there are, for example, "elementary and junior high school students," "people with underlying heart conditions," or "people suffering from PTSD," and it's a place where even those people can easily come into contact with creative works.
That is a strength, but at the same time, I think it is also a "point that the creator (poster) must consider" while keeping that in mind.
Therefore, I do not think of note or TALES as "a place where you can freely write whatever you want." I don't think of it that way.
Of course, it's impossible to consider everyone, so it's only "to a certain extent"...
Am I overthinking it??
I thought about it precisely because I love this place.
It really comes down to this, but sites like note and TALES, where you can freely post creative works (text, illustrations, music, videos, etc.), are rare, and I think they are one of the "precious places we want to protect" for both me and all of you.
That is why not only the management, but we, the users, must think and act spontaneously to protect this place.
Many people say that note is very "well-moderated," and I feel the same way, but even so, there are very rare cases where articles that make you think "Ugh..." are posted.
You wouldn't want regulations to be imposed or to be bashed online because of that, right?
Even if the poster has no such intention, we live in an era where if the recipient feels it is "terrible," that is the end of it, so I thought I wanted something like a "greatest common divisor for rating." I thought I wanted something like that.
That's why I wrote a very serious-looking article, which is unlike me.
I'm not used to doing this, so I've already got a headache😅
From here on, I must ask for everyone's cooperation.
I know it's a busy time of year, but I would appreciate your cooperation...
Please be my headache medicine!
