[Voicy Interview] Voicy CEO Ogata: 'Accumulating Excellence Is Different from Having a Specialty'

As I wrote in my previousnote, after appearing on 'Voicy Fes' for the first time, I formed a hypothesis that 'I might have misunderstood audio streaming.' The day after I returned to Taiwan, I had the opportunity to have a lunch-time interview with Voicy CEO, Mr. Ogata.

How timely!

To be able to pose this question directly to Mr. Ogata, who has thought more deeply about the potential of audio streaming than anyone else, was an opportunity I couldn't have asked for at a better time.

Due to a major mistake on my part (misunderstanding the time difference), the start was significantly delayed, and I am truly sorry for the great inconvenience caused to everyone. However, as a result, I was able to have a passionate 30-minute conversation with Mr. Ogata.

In particular, 'Accumulating excellence is different from having a specialty' was shocking. Even though I understood it intellectually by reading the words, internalizing it was another matter entirely. But when Mr. Ogata spoke using me as the subject, saying 'Kondo-san, for you...', it had a tremendous impact. I learned so much.
