Guilt disappears by half the moment you name it
I've noticed something recently.
The emotion that has been coming up a lot lately is 'guilt'.
As a mother.
As a wife.
As a woman.
Every time I make a choice, a weight remains deep in my chest.
The true nature of that is always guilt.
But, when I tried one thing, the flow changed.
Giving a name to the guilt.
For example, like this.
'Even though I'm a mother... guilt' has arrived!
'Is it okay to spend money? guilt' has arrived!
'I have to accommodate my husband... guilt' has arrived!
The moment I give it a name and create a persona like some kind of superhero, it strangely feels lighter.
Guilt grows when it remains vague, but
when you clarify its true nature, its power weakens.
Since realizing that,
my habit of blaming myself has decreased, and
I have started to return to 'my own life' little by little.
You don't have to try to make guilt disappear.
Just give it a name whenever it appears.
That alone will make your heart feel lighter.
