103 People with a reason to work hard are strong
I think it's easier to work hard if you have a reason for doing so. Thu, 11 June 2026
Whatever you are currently working on, challenging yourself with, or thinking about starting in the future.
It doesn't matter what it is, but what are you working hard for?
What is the reason you want to work hard?
・For your own growth
・To earn money
・To deliver value to someone
I think everyone has various reasons, but I believe that having one can help you hold on even during difficult times.
It doesn't have to be some grand reason.
You can work hard and finish what you need to do today, in this very moment.
I think it's enough to have your own reason that makes you feel that way.
For example, it might be a reason like this:
・To buy a collaboration figure from that anime I love.
・To buy a cool pair of sunglasses from my favorite brand.
・To buy a present for my precious girlfriend.
・To give my parents a trip as a gift to thank them for everything.
I think doing it for yourself is also a perfectly good reason to work hard.
If you feel like you are in a difficult period right now, whether it's with work, studies, or some other challenge you are taking on.
Then it might be a good idea to stop for a moment and think about why you are working so hard, even if it means going through such a tough time.
Prepare something to take notes, whether it's paper, a smartphone, or a PC.
Then, for example, try writing down things you want, how you want to be, or things you want to do with your family, friends, or partner.
Look at what you've written down and organize the things that make your heart feel excited.
It doesn't matter how many there are.
I'm sure that will become your reason to work hard.
If you know such exciting things are waiting for you, don't you think you can overcome this difficult time?
If you have such things to look forward to, don't you think you'll want to give it your all and welcome that moment with a good feeling?
Also, once you achieve what you've written down in your notes, you will not only feel the joy of that achievement itself, but it will also lead to confidence that you are capable of working hard like this.
Even if the various things you wrote down don't come true right away, I think it's enough just to have them within you as reasons to work hard.
Because it is a precious source of excitement that you wrote down yourself, not because someone told you to, it holds great value.
Pick up a pen, spread out some paper, and write down whatever comes to your mind.
It can be 5 minutes or even just 1 minute.
Your search for a reason to work hard begins with just writing down what you want to do or what you would like to do.

Whatever you're currently working on, challenging yourself with, or thinking about starting in the future—what are you working so hard for? What is the reason that makes you want to keep going?
Some people may be doing it:
To grow as a person
To earn more money
To create value for others
Everyone has their own reasons. And perhaps having those reasons is what helps us keep going when things become difficult.
Your reason doesn't have to be something grand or extraordinary.
It just needs to be something that helps you give your best today. Something that makes you feel like you can get through the task right in front of you.
Maybe your reason looks something like this:
To buy that limited-edition figure from your favorite anime.
To buy a stylish pair of sunglasses from a brand you love.
To buy a gift for someone special.
To take your parents on a trip as a way of thanking them for everything they have done for you.
Wanting something for yourself is also a perfectly valid reason to work hard.
Now imagine that you're going through a difficult period. Maybe things aren't going well at work, in your studies, or in some other challenge you're facing.
If that's the case, it might be worth taking a moment to pause and ask yourself:
"What am I working so hard for?"
Grab something you can write on—a notebook, your phone, your computer, anything. Then start writing.
Write down things you want.
Write down the person you want to become.
Write down experiences you would like to share with your family, friends, or partner.
Once you've written those things down, take a look at them and identify the things that genuinely excite you.
It doesn't matter how many there are.
Those exciting things may become the very reasons that keep you moving forward.
If something exciting is waiting for you in the future, perhaps you'll find the strength to overcome the difficult period you're going through right now.
If you have something to look forward to, maybe you'll feel even more motivated to give your best today so that you can enjoy that moment with a sense of accomplishment when it finally arrives.
And when the things you've written down eventually become reality, you'll not only experience the joy of achieving them—you'll also gain confidence in your ability to work hard and make things happen.
Even if the things you've written down don't come true right away, I think it's enough simply to keep them in your heart as reasons to keep going.
After all, they are not dreams or goals given to you by someone else.
They are your own personal sources of excitement—written down by nobody but you.
And that is exactly why they are so valuable.
So pick up a pen.
Open a blank page.
And write down whatever comes to mind.
It doesn't have to take an hour. Five minutes is enough. Even one minute is enough.
The search for your reason to keep going begins with a simple act:
Writing down what you want, who you want to become, and what kind of future excites you.
