[Izayoi Cup] I want people to come for Tanka and Senryu too

Quality doesn't matter, and
if you have seen the name of the Izayoi Cup on your timeline,
please consider it a sign and join in, even if it's just with one poem (or verse).
It's perfectly fine.

Even if you've never written a haiku before,
that's totally fine.

To put your mind at ease and show you that it's okay to be casual,

I don't want my own quality to disappoint the competition,
so I'll also post the list of submissions.

There are some wonderful works that will make you go "Oh!"✨

This ○○ Cup has the longest history with haiku,

but there are also categories for Tanka and Senryu.

The Tanka category was added later,
but it's surprisingly popular and is catching up to the number of haiku submissions.

While haiku are 17 characters long,
tanka are 31 characters, which might make them
a bit easier to write.

The fact that you don't need seasonal words
also makes it easier to get started.

I know it's not just about the numbers,
but I'd love to hit that milestone.

Speaking of Senryu,
the famous Salaryman Senryu
seems to have changed its name.

I imagine the bar for being featured there
is quite high, but
at the Izayoi Cup, we have plenty of comments
and custom awards, so you won't feel left out.

If you find Tanka too long and difficult,
please feel free to try this instead.
