Space Cup Everyone's Tanka Contest Application Guidelines [Applications Closed]

I am Madoka Sasara, the Space Cup public relations representative.

For all you noters who say,
I do tanka,
but I don't do haiku,the wait is over!

Held concurrently with the Haiku Contest and Senryu Contest,
we are holding the Space Cup Everyone's Tanka Contest!
We look forward to your participation.

If you are thinking,
I'm a beginner at tanka, but...that is perfectly fine.

The Space Cup is all about enjoying creative freedom.
There are no strict rules,
so I would be happy if you participated
with the mindset of trying out new expressions.

By the way, while haiku is 5-7-5,
tanka is 5-7-5-7-7.

Here, someone teaches us
how even beginners can write tanka.

If you feel like you sort of understand haiku
but are unsure about tanka,

There are no prizes for the tanka contest.
We plan to post summary articles
periodically during the submission period.

One of the goals of the entire Space Cup
is to foster interaction
among participants.

Articles you submit
will be added to a magazine
by the Space Station team.

I hope you enjoy interacting
through tanka via the summary articles and the magazine.

We will visit your posts

Just like with the haiku contest, the collection team
will visit your posts to add them to the magazine.
