[3-Minute Novel] A Gust of Love Blowing Through the Classroom | Shapes of Love ― Every Little Thing
This work is fiction. It was written with inspiration from specific songs and lyrics, but it has no relation to real people or events. Please enjoy it as a short story born from music.
The entrance ceremony is over, and I've finally gotten used to the class. There's a sports festival in May. I'm not very good at sports, but I love festivals!
All PE classes have become practice for the sports festival events.
As first-years, we don't have much unity yet, but we have to win because the seniors in our sibling class (especially the girls!) are scary.
Depressing.
When we're practicing, the seniors from the sibling class watch us from the windows.
Aren't you supposed to be in class!? Don't look at us!!
I thought to myself while working hard at practice.
Days spent working hard with the sole intention of not getting on the seniors' bad side.
Finally, cheering practice begins.
The senior cheer squad members filed into our classroom. The seniors lined up in front of the blackboard were the so-called popular crowd.
Among them was a tall guy who didn't even crack a smile, and the moment I saw him, a gust of wind blew only for me.
Yes, I fell in love with him at first sight.
As soon as the seniors left the classroom, I went around asking my classmates for information about him.
Wait, you're kidding. He's in the same volleyball club!?
Was there such a cool guy there!?
I didn't notice!
Club practice is separate for boys and girls, so I hadn't noticed his existence at all. From that day on, I couldn't wait for cheering practice and going to club activities!
My crush was already painfully obvious.
The shock of that day's encounter still felt fresh, and on days when I passed the senior in the hallway, even the worst things turned into a rosy experience.
And then, the day of the sports festival.
During the event, while my heart fluttered watching the senior standing at the front as part of the cheer squad, I seriously went for the win.
The result was 4th place out of 5 classes.
It was a bit... well, we fought hard.
And then the after-party once the sports festival was over. I had been trying to get closer to him somehow, but reality was cruel.
A beautiful senior girl kept her place right next to him. Rumor has it that this beauty also has a great personality.
And they are dating.
There isn't a millimeter of space for me to enter.
Heartbreak confirmed.
But I just can't give up.
I can't forget the shock of the day we met!
Relationships during student days don't last long anyway.
I'll be watching for my chance, and I'll steal the spot as his girlfriend!
I want to grasp this love, even though it's just a crush for now
I'll make you turn my way
Listen to me seriously!
