Slip High School [Weekly Short Short Note]

The sound of gliding through the air off a jump ramp.
The sound of skis sliding lightly across a snowfield, swish, swish.
Indoors, skate blades kick against the ice on the silver rink.
Skiing, snowboarding, speed skating, figure skating, curling, snow scooting, and sledding.
This is a high school that focuses on winter sports and attracts top athletes from all over the country. It is commonly known as 'Slip High School'.
Perhaps due to a distortion in space-time, the school grounds and the mountain behind the school are covered in snow all year round, and the athletes train hard regardless of the season.
With well-equipped indoor facilities like skating rinks and curling sheets, everyone is just slipping and sliding all over the place.

However, I do not play sports.
I don't play sports, but I am one of the few scholarship students.
Reluctantly, I was scouted directly by the principal.
All because I happened to take a spectacular fall on the road where the principal just happened to be.

'My, I've never seen anyone slip and fall on a banana peel so magnificently before,' he said.
I was locked on the moment he spoke to me with a beaming smile.
No one knows why the principal is so obsessed with things that slip.

The theme is 'Slip High School'.

At first, I thought about the 'telling a joke that falls flat' meaning of 'suberu' (slip), but since many others would likely think of the same thing, I had him slip on a banana peel instead.
What the principal is thinking is a mystery.
