There is someone thinking of you even in a distant place

The good thing about letters and postcards.
I think it's that they allow you to set aside time to think about people who aren't near you right now.

I am living in a place far from where I was born and raised.
When I am facing my work, daily life, relationships, and my own feelings about them in a new place, I tend to focus only on what is right in front of me.

But it is certain that there are people in distant places who shaped who I am today and continue to support me even now.
I think I enjoy sending postcards because I want to stay connected not just to the people and things right in front of me, but to each of those individuals as well.

I love the time I spend thinking of that person and choosing my words while feeling warm inside.
And if I'm lucky, I hope the person who receives it will also feel warm, knowing that there is someone who thinks of them even when they aren't right in front of them.

"I only want to send postcards that I personally feel are lovely."
Thanks to that stubborn side of me, I only manage to send about one a month... but I like to think that I'm delivering my dedication along with them.
