A 42-Year-Old Newbie Noter's Challenge

I am Maiton, a man of late-blooming success.

This may be sudden, but for the past week, I have been thoroughly enjoying myself by writing greeting messages based on a meticulous plan.

What exactly was that plan?

Oh, don't keep you in suspense, you say?

Fair enough. Let's take a look back for a moment.

What, you don't know what I'm talking about? You want a hint, you say.

You really want to know, don't you? I suppose I have no choice. I'll lay it all out for you.

That's right. Actually, when you put it all together...

Actually, for those of you who noticed just from the white clothes, you're a genius! Seriously, how much do you love Maiton?

Well, while I don't think there are many people like that, I thought of it and just wanted to do it.

But honestly, I should have declared this at the very beginning.

"I will give one hint every day for the next week. Someone please guess and write it in the comments section."

It doesn't make sense unless I do something like that. I realized that just five seconds ago.

Since it's come to this, I have no choice.
I'll admit it was a dud.

I guess I have no choice but to have Aoi-san clean this up.
If I keep doing things like this, I wonder if I'll get scolded soon. You'll forgive me, right? Because you're a stand-up guy, after all.

Well, I've easily exceeded 600 characters by now.

I thought about ending it here for today, but since the story of Colonel Sanders is famous even in the business world, I'll introduce it just a little bit.

Do you know the age at which Colonel Sanders started the Kentucky Fried Chicken business?

Believe it or not, he was 65.

Until then, he jumped from job to job, and his final job was as a restaurant owner. That business also suffered from various unfortunate events, and at 65, he was left with almost nothing.

It wasn't until he was 74 that he built it into the largest franchise restaurant in the United States.

Usually, if your business fails at 65, you'd just give up, right?

But because he kept trying from there, he is loved all over the world, and that's why Kento Kaku can say, "Why don't we have Kentucky today?"

I'm still only 42.
I can still take on challenges, right?

Encouraged by that, I'd like to introduce three things I'm thinking about.

First, I'm going to start a Maiton's Noters introduction magazine.
I introduced Genchon-san yesterday, and it was unexpectedly fun.

I will be introducing the things I like and the good points about my favorite Noters, albeit from my own perspective.
There have been various magazines that introduce interesting articles, but I feel like there aren't many that focus on the Noters themselves.

My only concern is that there are so many Noters I like that I might not be able to introduce them all.

Well, I'm the type who just tries things when they come to mind, so I think I'll do this slowly, maybe about once a week.

Second. I might start a magazine called 'Maiton's Punchline Lab'.
There are two things I personally value when writing on note.

Passion and the punchline.

If there is no passion, it won't be read.

If there is no punchline and the setup leading up to it, people won't read until the end.

So, I think about setups and punchlines every single day.

I'd love to turn those thoughts into articles, or introduce works from your notes that have excellent setups and punchlines.

I'm not sure if this will take shape yet, so for now, it's just a concept.

Third. I am finally going to aim for monetization in earnest.
I've touched on this topic occasionally in the past, but there are circumstances that mean I have to work a bit harder, so I intend to go at it with everything I've got.

That said, at the root of it all is my desire to make those who read my work smile, even if just a little, so I would appreciate it if you could watch over me kindly even if I'm shouting, 'Monetization! Money!'
