I tried playing the Tissue Character Test game
The Tissue Character Test continues to slowly gain new participants.
When you search for images on the web, it looks like a gallery😁 I sometimes look at it and grin.
Even though it started with just characters, it's great to see everyone enjoying it with their own ideas, such as illustrations, fish rubbings, and collaborations with mascots.
At that time, onepervertedman stood up.
He is a legend.
Wait, he said he's making a game where you write characters on a tissue?
I'm not sure what he's talking about.
I don't understand, but his passion seems real, and the game was finished in no time, and before I knew it, I had received the data via DM.
Game Overview
The goal of this game is to
express the given 'theme' (kanji, famous quotes, animal names) on a tissue using characters or illustrations!
However, there are limits to the ink you can use and the pen pressure. The key is to clear as many themes as possible and earn points within the limited resources.
Difficulty Settings
We have prepared 3 levels of difficulty.
Easy: Ink consumption is slow, and pen pressure rises gradually
Normal: Standard ink consumption (0.1) and pen pressure increase (0.5)
Hard: Ink consumption is fast, and pen pressure rises rapidly
Game Flow
1. Press the start button to begin the 90-second countdown!
2. A random theme will be presented(one of the following 3 types)
・Theme to write kanji
・Theme to write a famous quote(only the quote is displayed, the famous person's name is not)
・Theme to draw an animal illustration(e.g., 'cat', 'dog', etc.)
3. Freely draw characters or illustrations on the drawing canvas
4. Points are added for each stroke you draw
5. Once you finish the theme, press the 'Next Theme' button to move to the next challenge
Managing Ink and Pen Pressure
Every time you draw, 'ink' is consumed
'Pen pressure' increases, and if it exceeds a certain level, it becomes easy to tear. Pen pressure recovers over time.
Game over if ink is zero or pen pressure is near 100!
Game Over Conditions
・90 seconds time up
・Out of ink
・Tissue tears due to excessive pen pressure
When the game is over, the cumulative score is displayed, and you can try again from the restart button.
Hmm, it's easy to understand, but I really have to try it myself.
And this morning, I finally had some time, so I played it!
Impressions of playing
Is it a problem with my PC settings, or is she just shy and hiding? The girl character didn't appear.
Well, that can't be helped.
Anyway, I started with the difficulty set to normal!
Kanji with many strokes continued from the beginning.
I'm using a mouse, but I wonder if a trackpad would be easier?
At first, I didn't know how the pen pressure gauge would go up, so I tried hard to write and ended up tearing it.

Maybe it's better if you can't see the pen pressure value.
After this, I started adjusting it while looking at the numbers, so if you're pursuing realism, it's better not to see it!
After that, I tried increasing the difficulty, but it's true that the pen pressure rises easily, and it's hard to write a lot.
Just writing kanji is fun, but when I re-read the game overview, I found this description.
Random prompts will be given (one of the following 3 types)
・Prompt to write kanji
・Prompt to write a famous quote (only the quote is displayed, the famous person's name is not)
・Prompt to draw an animal illustration (e.g., "cat", "dog", etc.)
Huh? There are things other than kanji?
I tried it several times, but I didn't know because I didn't encounter anything other than kanji, perhaps because the probability is low.
From there, as I was skipping through the prompts, a famous quote appeared!!

The prompt is "Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm."
How am I supposed to write that!!!
Ah, it's interesting because things like this come up occasionally 😁
Apparently there are illustrations too, but this is impossible 😂
And before I knew it, I realized I had been seriously writing characters for 30 minutes.
In all seriousness, I feel like it recognizes what I've written better than writing on a tablet, so I thought they must have adjusted those settings perfectly.
And since I don't think anything can beat the exhilaration of actually writing on a tissue, it also makes me want to write on a tissue after playing this! 😂

Summary
Yes, it's silly and I love you for it, Legend. 😂
I've never made a game myself so I don't know for sure, but I imagine this must have taken quite a bit of effort.
With that said, since I had the pleasure of playing it, I'll write down some requests as well.
・As I wrote above, I think it's better if the pen pressure value isn't visible.
・It would be nice to have a reward for clearing it. Maybe a ranking feature?
・There doesn't seem to be a penalty for writing a character different from the prompt, so maybe it would be good if accuracy was reflected in the score?
・I feel like there are definitely people who would enjoy it if a cute girl rushed them by saying something like, "Hurry up!" Of course, I wouldn't get any joy out of that myself.
I'm probably asking for the impossible, but just for your reference 😆
I hope everyone else plays it too, and that tissue calligraphy becomes even more popular! 😁
