[Hassy] Redefining the 'Handful of People'
Hello.
This is Hassy.
Only a handful of people succeed.
I have heard those words
many times before.
And many people,
believing they are on the side that cannot be part of that handful,
quietly give up on their challenges.
But there is a major blind spot here.
The 'handful' refers to
the population that actually took action.
In the first place,
those who don't take the first step,
those who are interested but wait and see,
those who procrastinate due to anxiety,
these people
are not even included in the statistics.
For example, even if 100 people are interested,
only 10 actually take action.
And only 1 person gets results.
At this point, the 'handful' looks like 1 percent,
but only 10 people were standing on the actual playing field from the start.
In other words,
the 'handful' is a story
about those who moved.
Many people misunderstand this.
It is not a world where only chosen people can advance,
but a world where the scenery changes in the order of those who moved.
This is a structure closer to the essence.
If you are currently
blaming yourself for not having moved yet,
I want you to remember.
You are simply
still outside the statistics.
And this
does not mean you are behind.
It just means you are in a position to enter from now on.
The shortest route to becoming part of that handful
is not a special talent, but a quiet step.
Today, place one book by your bedside.
Today, work on something for just 5 minutes.
Today, try something small.
In that moment, you
are already one of the people within the population.
