I'm a hopeless case
No matter how many years I've been doing horse racing, it's still difficult.
Even when I think I've made this kind of losing mistake before, I really don't learn, or maybe I just can't.
Yesterday's wins were mediocre, or rather, I couldn't really be satisfied, but I managed to hit a win/place bet on Ohno. If I had paired that with Lemaire for an exacta, it would have been over 30,000 yen, and it would be so much more fun if I could hit exactas like that.

I also hit a wide bet over 20x at Kyoto, but it would be great if I could hit a quinella or an exacta.

As a result, I finished yesterday with a slight loss.
Today, I couldn't focus on horse racing because I was helping my daughter back up photos on her iPhone.
I hadn't spent much money, so I felt emboldened and ended up buying all sorts of things.
My biggest regret is Niigata:
Race 5: Ogino-kun at 50x
Race 6: Seina Imamura at 100x
Race 7: Kamizato-kun at 50x
The fact that I couldn't buy the win bets for these three.
It's not just that I didn't buy them; they were horses and jockeys I agonized over and then cut in favor of others.
The flow really wasn't good, and I'm disappointed.
Because of that, I forced myself to aim for long shots, and in the Niigata main race, the Idaten Stakes, I didn't buy Arata Saito, and I couldn't buy the long shots Kikuzawa-kun and Shimada-kun, so I missed out on a wide bet of over 70x.
In the Kyoto main race, the Miyakooji Stakes, I hit the place bet, but my betting sense was bad, and I couldn't hit the wide bet.

To top it all off, for the Oaks, I thought it through carefully and aimed for a big payout, but then I added trifecta bets, thinking, 'Well, it'll probably end up with a mediocre result anyway.'
Starke➡︎I bought Mirai Iwata, but I never thought Demuro wouldn't place.
The final race after the G1 I was looking forward to.
In Niigata, I only had a backup place bet.
In Kyoto, the field was small, so I held back.
In Tokyo, I agonized over it and added more bets, but only ended up with place bets on two super long shots.
The only reason I targeted them was because Ohno-kun and Ishikawa-kun are good at dirt races.
A wide bet on these two would have been over 40,000 yen.
Even a trifecta with the favorite, Danno-kun, as the anchor would have been 400,000 yen.

I felt so frustrated that I vowed to only do 2 or 3 races and tried my luck at local racing.
I missed in Kochi, but I managed to get a win bet of over 50x at Morioka Horse Racing, and that was the end of today's racing.

It was a total loss, but I was able to recover quite a bit.
Next week is the Derby. It might be enough just to think about which foreign jockey to buy.
