The momentum is on another level lol. Is there any metalcore cooler than this!? August Burns Red's Constellations is a god-tier album!
The hottest band in the US metalcore scene right now. I've been completely knocked out by the brutal momentum of August Burns Red's third album, Constellations lol.
I haven't been listening to much metalcore lately, preferring post-hardcore, deathcore, and brutal death metal.
But as someone who originally loved metalcore, I wanted to listen to a super hot band for the first time in a while, so I bought this album.
My metalcore era was back when I listened to classics like Killswitch Engage, Unearth, and As I Lay Dying, so I hadn't really listened to modern metalcore.
That's because I was too busy struggling with high-quality death metal and black metal, so the existence of metalcore faded away lol. No, no, it's not that I started hating it lol. I was just too deep in the brutal swamp, searching for things that were more intense and heavier, so I didn't have time for anything else lol.
So, shamefully, I haven't listened to this band. I mean, they've been active since 2003, so it's weird that I haven't crossed paths with them... It's a mystery, a real mystery...

The common trope where you can tell a country just by looking at a group photo of the members. Simple t-shirts and jeans are classic metalcore—definitely an American band!
"It's not about the look!! It's the sound, listen to the sound!!"
It's like a dad who's more excited at an amusement park than his own kids lol.
Having gotten used to the Nordic sound for so long, when I touch upon the straightforward metal sound of the US, I feel like they're fighting without any tricks. With the current Djent boom, more complex phrases stand out, but the riffs, which are carved out more straight and thrashy, make me feel that this is truly the sound of the home country.
There is melody within the intensity, and a catharsis that is spewed out. There are no clean vocals like you hear in Killswitch Engage or As I Lay Dying; they are just wringing out anger the whole time! Instead, the riffs run from start to finish, and the drum sound, like a march of heavy vehicles, stimulates my brain to the max!!
They don't even give you a moment to rest. When I listen to this album, I prepare a refreshing carbonated drink, but I often find that before I know it, I haven't taken a single sip and the drink has gone flat and tastes dull...
That's right. Don't drink hot coffee while listening to metal!! Be prepared for dehydration and listen to it!! You idiots!!
They taught us once again lol. Instead, you should just drink beer like it's raining. Beer belly? Hangover!?
"Go Fuck Your Self!!!!!!"
Such naive thinking will get you scolded by metalheads lol. It's very scary lol. That's why I want to remain a softie metalhead lol. I just want to enjoy an elegant tea time... (I feel like I'm going to get punched by a hardcore metalhead).
Anyway... If there's a beginner who wants to listen to metalcore for the first time in their life, I'd want to introduce this band to them. That's what I thought.
It's intense, but there's a certain freshness to it. It's just fast and heavy, and you can forget about all your troubles in an instant. August Burns Red's Constellations. How about it as a companion to your drinks!?
You'll surely have the best metal experience!?
It definitely ranks among the top metalcore albums I've listened to recently!!
Maybe I should try checking out their other albums now?
See you later 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

That's kite flying!! I do it sometimes too when there's wind!! Though the string snapped and it flew off somewhere recently...
