Hints are hidden in the things you find troublesome - Ideas to reduce steps and ease the burden
"Habits" are one of the most important themes.
I want to incorporate good habits into my daily life, so I am exploring various ideas and repeating trial and error.
This time, I would like to summarize what I learned from reading the following article by Mirumiru-san.
It is a wonderful article that makes you think, "I see! That's true!", so please give it a read.
Mirumiru-san shares the idea of "observing your own usual actions in daily life."
The example of "makeup removal" introduced in the article is very easy to understand.
It is a story about how changing from a type of makeup remover that you scoop out with a spatula to a pump-type one reduced the number of steps and made things easier.
They list the process of makeup removal and compare the number of steps, and I thought this way of thinking was important.
When you do makeup removal on a daily basis, it can sometimes feel like a chore.
I have experience with this too.
It was when I was practicing some bold makeup.
I suddenly realized I needed something and went out to shop for it.
Since there were parts I had failed at, I went out wearing a hat, glasses, and a mask to hide them.
(When I told people, they retorted, "That's the opposite! That's how you hide a bare face!")
Because of that experience, I think that depending on the situation, efficiency in makeup removal might be necessary.
If I may introduce one product, I can recommend KIEHL’S "Deep Cleansing Gel".
This is also a pump type, and it is convenient because it can also be used for face washing.
It seems to contain essential oils, and I like it because it smells good.
I digressed a little, but if I were to express the point in one word, it would be "reducing the number of steps leads to reducing the sense of burden."
To give another example, changing laundry detergent to gel balls.
The laundry process of "① measure detergent, ② add it, ③ measure fabric softener, ④ add it" changes to a simple "❶ take a gel ball, ❷ add it."
It may look like a small change, but when done on a daily basis, the sense of burden is completely different. It makes things go faster.
Perhaps hints for improving, enhancing, and streamlining life are hidden in the very feeling of "troublesome."
