I went bungee jumping in Okayama!
Hello, this is WEB Planner Tahara!
I have been in Okayama and Kagawa since yesterday.
I was invited by Mr. Goto's group, who has supported me since my side-hustle days, for what is essentially a refreshing time for adults under the guise of a business retreat ^^

By the way, I went to Washuzan Highland, which is located in a place called Kojima in Okayama!
I'm not good with thrill rides, but I see amusement parks as places to relieve stress by shouting out loud (lol).
So I made sure to ride them ^^

Also, for the first time ever, I tried bungee jumping!!

The photo isn't of me, but of Saito-san, a member of our WEB planning team lol
We didn't have any intense discussions about business or customer acquisition, but since everyone I was with is active on the front lines, it was a huge gain to be able to absorb their 'mindset habits' up close rather than just their 'methods'.
Bungee jumping, in particular, was a great learning experience.
To begin with, I would never do it alone, and since I'm not good with thrill rides, I had no reason to do it (lol).
But Mr. Goto said,
'You go on a roller coaster through external force, but you have to go on a bungee jump through your own willpower. That difference is significant, isn't it?'
And as he spoke,
I realized that this is the same in business.
It's not about which one is good or bad,
- There are people who can go for it on their own
and
- there are people who want someone to push them from behind
and I'm definitely the latter (lol).
So, it was because Goto-san said,
"Alright, shall we go!"
that I made the decision to go.
When I joined a sales writing course in my first year of starting a business, I definitely wouldn't have joined if I were alone (lol).
But, Terada-sensei (a teacher from Fukuoka) who was there said,
"Tahara-san, if you're going to run your own business, don't you think you need to learn this for the sake of people in the future?"
Being told that, I made the decision to join.
As a result, now, 8 years later...
My sales have increased, I've been able to incorporate, and I'm living a life where I can come to Okayama and Kagawa for work (under that pretext) like this.
That's why, when there's someone hesitating about consulting or a course, if I feel that it's definitely better for them to come, I make sure to give them a push.
As a result, the people I've pushed have also done well.
(I don't think I push everyone, so if you've been pushed, please consider it a chance lol)
Also, returning to the bungee jumping story, why did I think about bungee jumping in the first place?
Well, in the Discovery community that I was involved with when I had a side job,
"Let's go bungee jumping to break out of our shells!"
They used to have a project like that back in the day.
I remembered that for a loooong time, and,
"Since that person jumped, and I've grown since then, I don't want to think that I'm inferior to that person, so I want to be someone who was able to jump!"
It's a rather chuunibyou-like (middle schooler-ish) way of thinking, but (lol)
That was also one of the reasons.
I was the second person to jump.
The first person was Mr. Goto, the organizer.
Seeing him jump without a moment's hesitation made me think that people who can be first penguins are amazing, and I also realized that my own pattern is that I find it easier to act once there is at least one successful example.
Mr. Saito hesitated at first, but after seeing the data from the person who jumped before him,
"Maybe this will be okay"
he seemed to think, and he was able to jump on his second attempt. I also learned that Mr. Saito is the type of person who finds it easier to act when he has solid data that things will go well and feels reassured.
There were also people who retired from jumping, but that is also their own values and choice.
There is no need to go out of your way to do something risky
I'm sure this also applies to business, so I learned that they are the type of person who doesn't go out of their way to do things with high risk.
Everyone is different!
So, what I want to say is,
・Know the patterns that make it easy for you to act
・Know what kind of behavioral patterns other people have
I realized that by understanding these things, you can broaden your range of options for things like attracting customers and sales, so I hope you will also broaden your range through experiences like this^^
