The Tenth Time's the Charm.
Good evening, this is Vesta.
Happy Halloween!
(It is unclear whether this article, which I started writing at 23:15, will be finished before Halloween ends.)
It has been a little while since my last update...
In the meantime, the 10th-anniversary solo acoustic live series "Soul Mate" has reached its 9th show, and yesterday, I finished the 10th.
Soul Mate #9▼

Soul Mate #10▼

At #9, I performed a new song called "Skirt", which depicts a woman who realizes she has become an adult while opening a page of faint youth while gazing at the sea at the end of summer.
I think I was able to create an AOR atmosphere with the tension-chord-heavy chord work and intense modulations, and it has become one of my favorite songs.

This is the image I tweeted before the live show. lol
By the way, I wrote it with the atmosphere of a sort of "another story" sequel to "Awai Omoi" by ClariS, a song I provided a few years ago.
Please listen to that one as well.
And the new song for #10 was called "Human Error".
For modern people, whose connections via social media far outweigh real-life ones, I think it is nearly impossible to truly grasp someone's emotions, true feelings, or the facts of a situation when you can only know them through a screen.
In such a world, when it comes to someone's mistakes or words, people often use a one-size-fits-all perspective to label them as an enemy and target them, ostracize them, or extinguish all of their chances.
In decisions that are more difficult than reality, things happen at a speed far faster and on a scale far wider than in reality.
It is precisely because we live in such times that this song suggests we should use more imagination and be more forgiving toward human error.
However, when I looked up the meaning of "human error" just now, it said, "A mistake caused by a person. Specifically, a result brought about by intentionally not doing what one should have done, or by intentionally doing what one should not have done." And I thought, well, that's definitely not okay. (Hehe)
While writing it, I felt it had a vibe like an opening theme song for a sci-fi space war anime, so I leaned into that as much as I could. Lol
The archive will be available for viewing and purchase until November 13th!
The next Soul Mate#11 is scheduled for Saturday, November 20th!
I'll let you know the details later!!
See you then!
Happy Halloween!! (Made it in time)
