[Short Story] Heart-Storage Box

You know, everyone
has two containersinside them.
Did you know?

One is
a transparentcoral-colored square container.
When you're happy or having fun,
when you're excited or thrilled,
if you press the button, click,
sparkles start to fill up the container.

The other one is
a deep azure square container.
When you're sad or having a hard time,
when you're suffering or feeling lonely,
if you press the button, click,
the container becomes dark and heavy.

—Whenthe coral-colored containergets full,
“Would you like to share?”
the words appear.
If you press the “Yes” button,

the container pops open,
and a transparent orb filled with sparkles like stardust
floats out, bobbing gently.

That orb drifts softly through the sky,
and bursts above someone who is suffering or sad.

Then, from that person's eyes,
the sparkles are absorbed,
and their slightly painful feelings disappear.

That book spreads in an instant,
and messages arrive from all over the world.

“That must have been tough.”
“You did your best.”
“You endured so much.”
“Now it's your turn to be happy.”

—Those containers are “Heart-Storage Boxes.”

If you lose your heart, the containers disappear too.
If you put too much in at once, they will break.
So, please store your heart little by little.
And always keep them as a pair.
