[Balcony Gardening Day 2] Nemophila bringing spring to a shady balcony. Morning routine balcony gardening
A morning spent watering the Nemophila as part of my 5 AM morning routine.
I wake up at 5 AM every morning and start with an hour of programming study.
After that, spending time with the plants on my small balcony is my morning routine style.
The balcony is narrow, and even though it faces south, it doesn't get much sunlight.
But the plants that grow well even under those conditions are like a motivation switch for my mornings.
This morning, I watered the Nemophila seedlings.
Seeing their tiny leaves swaying in the morning light makes my heart feel at ease.

Tomorrow, I plan to move these seedlings to a place with better sunlight.
I'll transplant them into non-woven fabric plant bags and place them in the spot on the balcony that gets the most light.
I'm currently preparing for that.
The reason I 'grow from seeds' with a 5 AM wake-up call
I happened to pick up Nemophila seeds at Daiso.
They only cost 110 yen, but they were packed with a small challenge.
It's easy to buy store-bought seedlings. But I decided to try sowing seeds out of curiosity about 'whether they can grow on a shady balcony' and a bit of stubbornness to 'try growing them from the start.'
The tiny seeds I sowed in pots in early March.
The thrill when they sprouted was honestly just as happy as when a programming error is resolved.
The day Nemophila disappeared from the store shelves
The other day, when I went to my usual local home improvement store.
The Nemophila section was completely empty.
'Is the season already over?'
Just as I thought that, I glanced at the pots on my balcony and saw the blue sprouts growing steadily there.
'Our home's Nemophila season is just beginning.'
At that moment, an indescribable sense of pride and joy spread through my chest.
The 'space in life' I discovered through my morning routine
Waking up at 5 AM and doing just one hour of programming.
And the time spent caring for the plants is helping me get my life in order more than I expected.
Both are about 'growing' something.
I feel like the small sense of accomplishment from building things up day by day is becoming the foundation of my heart.
By the time the Nemophila blooms,
perhaps a new season will be starting within me as well.
