About the Activities of the Nanikason New Business Unit
At RayArc Co., Ltd., while carrying out our core business of contract system development, a new business unit composed of voluntary employees has been active for over four years.
What makes this unique is that the core members involved on an ongoing basis, while working 100% in their main roles, use experimental and flexible methods such as the metaverse, analog games, and workshops to observe and verify“ways for people to work proactively and with excitement.”
The games produced are offered to the public at a fair price, and although the scale is not large, on average, more than half of the total production quantity is consistently purchased, and some have already sold out.
With continuous feedback being received, it is clear that the process does not end with the purchase; we have seen signs that our reach extends to a wider range of contexts than expected, from analog game enthusiasts to corporate representatives.
The background to this activity continuing uninterrupted for over four years lies in a structure where participants maintain a stance of “taking ownership” and continue to practice without leaving room for excuses.From the perspective of human capital management and organizational development, there are not many initiatives where voluntary activities maintain a continuous verification cycle while being compatible with the main business, and this activity is one example that demonstrates such movement.
