A Plan to Escape Welfare: What I Saw After 280 Days of an Ordinary Person Facing AI
Days spent living with a sense of guilt.
"I want to work, but I can't." "I want to live like everyone else, but I can't."
Two years ago, after my health collapsed, I had been carrying those feelings with me ever since.
A low-grade fever of around 37.5 degrees Celsius persisted, and no matter how much I slept, the fatigue wouldn't go away. Even after going to the hospital, the cause remained unknown, and only the medical bills kept piling up.
Feeling helpless, the path I chose was that of welfare.
"I can get through this if I just push myself." There was a time when I thought that way.
But the reality was different. The fever didn't go down, and working long hours is still difficult for me even now. There was definitely a wall there that couldn't be overcome just by changing my mindset.

It has been one year since I started receiving welfare.
I'll be honest. This past year has been truly painful.
Even when I make new friends, I don't have the energy to go out because I have no money. I still don't have the courage to say "I'm on welfare" with confidence.
When I look at social media, words like "Get a job," "Tax thief," and "You're just being lazy" jump out at me.
I know it myself. I'm not doing anything wrong. It's a system I'm receiving because I need it.
Even so, a sense of "guilt" remains somewhere inside me.
In truth, I want to have a proper job. I want to earn money. I want to live like everyone else.
I have been carrying those feelings with me all this time.
It was in the midst of all this that I encountered ChatGPT.
Two years ago, when I lost my health and couldn't do anything, the only thing that remained was the feeling that "I can't end it like this."
I wanted to find a way to escape on my own. While I was looking for something I could do with that thought in mind, I encountered AI.
In the course of our conversation, it suggested, "How about a service called note?" and that was the start of me beginning it, albeit with half-doubts.
Honestly, I was scared at first.
I had no track record. I had no talent. I wondered who would even read what I wrote—that's what I thought.
But once I wrote that first article, I found it surprisingly easy to create content, and I got hooked.
By putting things into words, I felt a sense of change from "myself who can do nothing" to "myself who is doing what I can now."
And before I knew it, 280 days had passed.
I have continued writing on note every day for 280 days.
I, who thought I would just give up after three days, have managed to keep going this far.
My followers have exceeded 1,300, and the number of people joining my membership has been gradually increasing.
But, I will be honest.
My life has not changed yet.
I am not consistently earning 100,000 yen a month on note. I have not escaped from welfare either.
If you look only at the numbers, it might be "280 days without results."
Even so.
Strangely, I can see hope ahead.
Why can I see hope?
The reason is simple.
Because now, with AI, I can do anything I can imagine.
What I have been doing recently is the work of translating my thoughts into reality.
In my imagination, if the app development I am doing now goes well, I can see a future where I won't have to worry about money.
A household account book app is a good example.
None of the existing household account apps worked for me. Double counting credit card charges, managing withdrawal dates, and viewing the balances of all accounts at once.
I included everything I thought, 'I wish it had this feature,' and built it to be easy for me to use.
I use it every day now. I am quite satisfied with it.
This is something I absolutely could not have done a year ago.
I have always been good at putting my worries into words.
'This is inconvenient.'
'I wish it were like this.'
'Why does it end up like this?'
I was relatively good at putting those 'vague feelings' into words.
But I was bad at coming up with solutions for what came after. Or rather, I couldn't do it at all.
Even if I put it into words, it stopped there. I couldn't see, 'So, what should I do?'
That's why I was stuck in the same place, worrying in circles.
But now, AI can help solve those problems. (That's the thinking of an AI believer, haha)
I think there are various kinds of worries.
Money worries. Work worries. Relationship worries. Health worries.
I will put those worries into words and fix them. I will keep doing this repeatedly from now on.
This is not limited to just me.
I can become someone who creates tools to solve other people's problems.
When I thought about that, I've been feeling very excited lately.
I am still in the middle of building my track record. But I am becoming able to do things more amazing than I imagined.
That is why I am looking forward to the future.
If I hadn't even used note and just spent my days passing time
Here, I thought about something a little scary.
If I hadn't used note, hadn't developed apps, and had just wasted every day thinking, 'I'm on welfare, so...'
What would have become of me now?
Surely, nothing would have changed. I wouldn't have seen any hope. I would have just lived carrying a sense of guilt.
Thinking about that made me a little scared.
Even if I haven't achieved big results on note, I've been able to continue. Because of this accumulation of small steps, I am where I am today.
If I told my self from 280 days ago about my current situation, I'm sure I would say this:
'Wait, you're writing every day? That's amazing.' 'App development? Seriously?' '1,300 followers? No way.'
Looking only at the numbers, it might seem like 'nothing has changed yet.' But I am definitely moving forward.
What I thought was a detour was actually a shortcut.
I only realized that very recently.
Even for an ordinary person, in any era, those who move first win
I have no special talent.
I, who couldn't use a PC, created a household account book app while interacting with AI.
I, who was a note beginner, have been able to continue this far.
I, who am on welfare, am now mapping out the path to escape from welfare.
Even an ordinary person can become someone who moves first and grabs success beyond failure in any era.
That is what I want to prove.
There are no shortcuts.
However, the path that seems like a detour is often the shortest way.
Even if you fail, even if things don't go well, you put it into words, make corrections, and move forward again.
Repeating that process will eventually lead to significant results.
That is what I believe.
Future Strategy: AI x note x App Development
From here, I will talk about the path I am going to take.
Strategy 1: Make Full Use of AI
For me, AI is a tool to turn thoughts into reality.
Articulate worries. Think of solutions together with AI. Give them shape.
I will thoroughly repeat this flow.
Strategy 2: Continue Posting on note
For me, note is a place to grow myself.
By writing, my thoughts are organized. By having people read them, I can confirm my own value.
I will continue to write every day.
I will continue to post mainly about persistence, analysis, systematization, and note strategies. I will also further strengthen my membership to create a place where we can learn and practice together.
Strategy 3: Monetization through App Development
The household account book app is almost complete. I am currently working on an automatic shift generation app. At the same time, I am also dabbling a bit in game development.
A tool that solves my own problems can also solve someone else's problems.
Believing in that, I will give it shape.
In the near future, I plan to submit them to Google and Apple for review so that they can be used as apps rather than just on the web.
Plan to escape welfare
Here, I will talk about my concrete plan.
Goal: Earn over 100,000 yen per month consistently on note and escape welfare
Step 1: Build a track record (Current stage)
Achieve 280 consecutive days of note posts
Surpass 1,300 followers
Complete household account book app
Strengthen membership
Step 2: Create a monetization system
Strengthen paid notes and memberships
Monetize the app (ads/billing)
Synergy between note and the app
Step 3: Escape welfare
Stable monthly income of 100,000 yen
Establish a work style that suits my health condition
Graduate from welfare
Honestly, I don't know if this path is the right one.
It might work out, or it might not.
But if I didn't take action, nothing would have changed.
If my past self saw me now, I think they would surely say this.
I'm glad I tried it.
To those who are struggling in the same way
If you are currently feeling like you "can't do anything," "have no talent," or "have no money."
Even so, what do you think would happen if you just took one step forward?
I started a note. I asked AI. I tried making an app.
The results aren't in yet. But I am definitely moving forward.
Even for an ordinary person, the one who moves first wins.
I will prove that from here on out.
Finally
To you who read this article.
Watch my back. Copy what you can copy.
Let's move forward together.
The path that looked like a detour might actually be the shortest route. Success lies beyond failure.
The accumulation of small steps will eventually lead to big results.
I believe that, and I will keep writing today.
How did you feel?
If this article gave you even a little push, your likes and follows will be my encouragement.
Let's change the future together.
