My Earphones Connected to the Smartphone in the Next Seat?!
How are you spending your Golden Week?
I am right in the middle of providing long-distance care for my parents, and I just returned home from Hokkaido last night.
I usually watch movies on the plane. This time, I was looking forward to watching movies more than ever. The reason is that I had been reading Nono Aomame's articles on movie reviews.
In Nono's article, eight movies are introduced. Among them, I was very drawn to "Samurai Time Skipper" because it seemed like the funniest one. Also, the fact that it won the Academy Award for Best Picture was a key point.
Actually, I had been watching it bit by bit on the train to the hospital to visit my parents before even boarding the flight home, but it was so funny that I would accidentally burst out laughing or get a smirk on my face, so I had to force myself to stop halfway through.
It is so funny that I really cannot watch it when there is someone sitting across from me.
With all that said, my expectations were at an all-time high that I would definitely watch it on the flight home.

Eating soft-serve ice cream before boarding the plane is another one of my pleasures
Once the plane reached a stable altitude, I eagerly connected my wireless earphones to my smartphone.
The earphone's voice guide told me,
"Bluetooth connected,"
so I felt relieved, tapped the movie icon I had downloaded, and waited for the movie to start.
I visually confirmed the smartphone screen as it started preparing the video with a spinning icon.
Alright! (Excited ♫)
However
The next moment, with an ear-splitting blast,
Happy Jam Jam~♪
Music like that of a female idol started playing, and I was incredibly flustered.
Even when I operated my smartphone to turn the volume down, the sound wouldn't get quieter.
Hey. What is this? This music!
The only solution left was to turn off my smartphone.
I turned off my smartphone, closed my eyes for a while to calm my racing heart and my phone, and meditated.
No matter how I think about it, the movie's visuals and audio don't match. It's just too strange for a samurai who has time-traveled to the present day to be watching a period drama on TV while 'Happy Jam Jam~♪' plays.
However, my desire to watch the movie only continued to grow.
I turned my smartphone back on and reconnected the earphones from scratch.
Here goes (This time for sure!!)
But alas
Happy Jam Jam~♪~♫
Once again, the loud music came blasting through.
No way!!
Seriously, what is this music? (Anger!)
While almost dropping my smartphone from my hand, I managed to turn it off.
After a while, the man next to me started operating his smartphone. And then, the next moment
Happy Jam Jam~♪~♫
A middle-aged man sitting next to me started panicking and turned off his power when a familiar song began to play.
What just happened?
Does that mean my earphones were connected to the man's smartphone?
Is that even possible???
Since things that happen twice might happen a third time, I tearfully gave up on watching the in-flight movie.
Still, I have a memory of hearing "Happy Jam Jam~♪" somewhere before.
Could it be from that anime with the tiger character from the preschool correspondence course? I feel like it played during the opening or ending... Sir, what exactly are you listening to?
Oh, no. I mean, you're free to listen to whatever you want. My apologies. But... no, I won't say anything more.
From now on, I'll use wired earphones when watching movies on a flight!
