Small growth noticed while choosing clothes for twins
I take my twins out to buy clothes.
For me, it's not shopping, it's a mission.
Unless I have someone watch the twins, I don't have the luxury of looking at clothes.
The two of them get bored quickly and start exploring the store.
So, I find time to go shopping alone.
And I buy two of the same outfit. If I give them different clothes or different colors, they immediately start fighting.
I want to avoid any trouble I can.
Until they were about two years old, I decided everything they wore.
That's how their matching outfits were created.
The sight of the two little ones walking side by side in the same clothes is just adorable.
Every time I saw that, I thought, 'This is a privilege that only lasts for now.'
When they turned three, they started choosing their own clothes.
Today, it's all pink.
Tomorrow, it's all Anpanman.
Every day is free.
Before I knew it, an outrageous outfit was complete.
It's childlike and very cute.
But as I sent them off to nursery school, I felt a bit conflicted.
'What if the teacher thinks, "Did their mother choose this?"'
I was worrying about that all by myself.
Even now, there are days when they wear all pink.
But I also changed my strategy just a little bit.
On top, they wear characters, patterns, or their favorite colors.
On the bottom, they wear simple pants like denim or black.
Just by doing that, even when they choose for themselves, it somehow looks put together.
The twins, who are obsessed with princesses, always wear dresses on their days off.
I love seeing them in matching dresses.
Now that they are four, they line up several dresses on the floor, hold them up one by one in front of the mirror, and,
'Hmm, maybe this one?'
they worry with a serious look on their faces.
Oh, they are already proper little girls.
Even though their mother wears almost the same thing every day.
They are much more fashionable than their mother.
They seem to be particular about their hair ties too, lining up the ones with decorations and choosing based on their mood that day.
That time seems very enjoyable for them.
They will probably get even more fashionable from here on out.
When they get a little older, perhaps the day will come when the twins and I go to a clothing store and,
'I like this one!' 'This one looks good on you too.'
we might choose clothes together while having conversations like that.
I'm looking forward to that a little bit starting now.
