The Battle Against the Gacha Factor: Lessons Learned from Posting AI-Generated Music Daily
Hello, VibeSound here.
I share music created with generative AI on platforms like YouTube.
■ One and a half months in. The days spent building up 79 posts
It has been about a month and a half since I started music production and YouTube posting using generative AI.
For this past month, I have been stubbornly sticking to a "daily posting" routine.
I have posted 79 videos, including Shorts.
Looking at the numbers alone, I think, "I really did it..." but on the other hand, I feel that my view counts are still not growing as much as I would like.
■ Videos that take off and videos that get buried. The difficulty of PDCA
Things I thought, "This track is going to be a hit!" end up getting buried,
while others unexpectedly take off, and it seems there are many factors involved beyond just the music.
The impact of the thumbnail
Text descriptions, hashtags, etc.
SNS integration and traffic flow
Day of the week and time of day
The whims of the platform?
While I feel frustrated that I cannot grasp a clear trend,
I also find a certain fun in it, almost like a "gacha" game.
■ The next step: Challenging myself with long-form videos
Until now, I have been releasing short videos featuring one song at a time.
From here on, I want to challenge myself with long-form content that features multiple songs for a more substantial experience.
Also, though it is physically demanding, I would like to try making videos too...
■ Even with a hard job, I want to keep creating
I often have a lot of overtime at my main job, but since ruining my health would defeat the purpose,
I want to keep building up my progress for another week without overdoing it, while maintaining my passion.
■ Keep searching for the reason why things take off
From here on, it is all about experimentation.
I want to find the strategy for this gacha while sharing it with all of you.
If you found this note helpful, it would encourage me if you could "like" it or provide feedback.
I hope to see you in the next note.
Thank you for reading!
