Holding an Online Exhibition: Standing by the Sea

Hello. This is Binetsu.
I enjoy painting and draw pictures in my daily life.

It is hot, but I am holding a midsummer online exhibition.

This time, it features poster art works.

Saying "this time" makes it sound like I drew them recently, but some took as long as two years.
These are four works that I spent a lot of time carefully creating.

The inspiration for starting this painting was wanting to hang a lovely picture in my kitchen.

I went through a lot of trial and error, wanting to create something that would look clean in a white wood frame, but not too stiff, and something that would make the viewer feel excited.

Strictly speaking, I was most particular about the contrast between red and yellow, the spacing of the tomatoes and macaroni, and the sense of rhythm in how each one falls (which way they are facing).

The season is different, but I thought it must be fate that I ended up creating it now, so I am introducing it this way.

I originally drew the camellia by combining several types of striking red for a book cover.

After that, I thought it would look wonderful if combined with a dark-colored wood frame, so I revived it as a poster.

I changed the color scheme slightly from the book cover version, and while keeping the cute, rounded impression, I also kept in mind a coolness that allows it to be hung on a wall regardless of the season.

This is my favorite piece this time.
I painted a young man and a dog standing in front of the sea.
As they take a walk, the two of them are thinking about what lies beyond the sea or somewhere else entirely.

Since I live in the mountains, walking the dog means mountain paths for me, but I painted this while imagining if people who live near the sea take walks along the shore. It turned out to be a very summery piece.

*It is difficult for the blue color to look the same in photos as it does in person. It is a gentle light blue that blends well with white walls.

This is the piece I had the most fun with while creating. My love for egg sandwiches grew, so I turned it into a painting.
The overall color scheme is gentle and blends in with white walls.
I would love for fellow egg sandwich lovers to display this.
